Yes, if those are his parents, both the mother and the father are slim. :) There is also a possibility that he does not need much food to be full. I agree with you about the class struggle, but I would not say that Akk suffers from internalized homophobia. It seems to me that he has difficulties accepting the fact that he likes Ayan, not the fact that he likes a guy. The character who demonstrates signs of internalized homophobia is Khan, although in his case it is concern about what others will say about him if he comes out.
