the male lead's character is so boring. the romance between leads is not well developed, idk why the FL loves ML and also xing er background is so blurry

The characterization it the best aspect of this drama. I love eventhough the ML is cold but he never hurt FL with his coldness. I also love eventhough the FL started as dumbest student, she even got scholarship in her college days. I also love the way she talks, seems unconfident but cute

But he got nice closure. Because 1. his mom has been a nice person from the start unlike lingxiao's and 2. although he thought he "loves" li jianjian, it turned out he never see her as a woman he just wanted to join li papa family and he got to join them at the end

While some might find this drama boring at the beginning. I'll give the first part of the drama 10/10 rating. It became boring to me since the FL quit her work and move to Beijing. I spent many episodes (highschool flashbacks) being excited over the fact that FL works on TV shows and after flashback ends the FL quit it and here comes start-up struggles.. This happened to me too when I watched "Forever Love". I love bothLCDF and forever love until start-up company happened

Agree with you the male lead feels more like a filler haha. I actually get why they like each other in their schooldays. They're quite similar anyway. Qiaoyi is timid and not confident, always talks slowly even stutters sometime. Yan Mo dont bother to talk at all. No-talk-couple, huh?

Hao wuyi is so dumb lol. She's like the typical female lead who makes bad decisions all the time

they both are considered great now after years of experience but neither suzy nor iu did a great job in their first role (especially suzy as hyemi).

I doubt it too and kinda got disappointed that she never try supporting roles first. But I once saw someone from the team said she's in because of casting so i got very curious to watch it may be she's indeed good. Let's drop our opinion again after the drama is out

I agree with you about the "lying" part. Also she lied to LYB because of yu yan's mother who'l had been annoying from the get go and didnt really redeem anything until the end (even the broken relationship of the main lead was fixed by yu yan not his mom). I wished she can at least firmly tell the mom if she were about to help yu yan, she should be allowed to give her bf the big picture of what she's doing. Then let LYB stupidly misunderstood her I dont care. But she didnt even try to protect LYB feelings after all he's done for her + started playing victim later

Finally something that could make me move on from go go squid. It's even better for me

i like her acting in go ahead and the sword and the brocade. But in both dramas i found her lacking chemistry with her partner (i'm not satisfied enough). Please tell me her romance drama where she had the best chemistry with her male lead.

ok for someone who just finished story of minglan recently.. would i be disappointed if i watched this? or should i wait for a while to lower my expectation a bit? i really love domestic issues and intrigues in story of minglan + the way the fl solves it i need more drama like that

Sorry just some info. There is no real love triangle between the three siblings in "go ahead". Steven's character just wanted to become the FL real family and had his name on their family certificate. He didnt really see her as woman. So he's not losing anything actually and his biological mom at the end marry the FL's dad his dream of being part of their family became true.
