the title! I'm dying. Gave the review a thumbs-up based on that alone xD
Really? It still has zero found it helpful but never mind. Now I've read it 2 years later I hardly think it is useful for someone who did NOT watch the show... It's not really like I properly reviewed the story, acting, music and cinematography... I did not honestly want to go into it as it was such a bizarre experience for me.
On episode 10 I'm dying watching this, really... One scene, there is so much kissing that you don't usually see in all the episodes combined. And definitely not this CUTE!:-) And the point is, female lead ASKED for it, LOL That too in a scene where I almost pi**ed myself with laughter This drama needs to be nominated for being super romantic & super hilarious AT THE SAME TIME:-)
Just watching the opening and I can see this is yet one more INSANE japanese show LOL I don't know what they are singing, but perhaps it's We All Are Crazy And We Are Open About It! LOL Never mind, after several episodes, you discover that this "sex crazed" show is actually a better human dramedy than most (I LOVE the narrator, just everytime he says "nomaki" I have to smile) and conveys SO MUCH about life in the short runtime...;-) It does not offer any romantic conclusion, the only happy ending is in terms of friendship (which you'll get to love, here:), but there are 2 more seasons coming...
Sorry, but seeing any kind of government research depending on how these 4 women behave while dating is hard to imagine even as a fiction. Overall it starts to look like literally anyone (who can draw a little) can write manga in Japan, literally about nothing at all. Result being more and more weird "dramas" like this. The whole "secret organization" setup is about as surplus in the drama as is the need to ruin a perfectly good toast with that gross thing called peanut butter which should be kept for all the americans.
To put this much tragedy stuff into romantic comedy is bad taste. But that's just to mention one dot in a huge screentime which is kinda filled with vague mixture of this and that, it doesn't have a distinct romance line to enjoy, I mean Godfrey Gao looks HOT in this I wish he would stop wearing the sparkling earring but apart from that I have no complaints about his looks which is rare but the whole story about him being a writer who needs to observe the ongoing romances only to write some book does not interest me and spoils my party while the whole thing is super long and going from nowhere to nowhere and there's nothing romantically enjoyable. Ookay after SEVENTEEN episodes of waiting, there's a nice kiss scene/bed scene LOL
Handsome and talented young man should not kill himself. It's a waste and further warning that depression is a deadly illness that needs to be taken seriously. Same like any other that can be terminal.
The original drama, 'Will Love Begin When Money Ends?' was problematic, also 4 episodes only, but there it was kinda understandable. This spin-off, 'Will Money Begin When Love Ends?' is also too short, and it's bad WITHOUT the excuse. Considering its lead did not die during production, and was actually better actor. If I got anything from this it's that my despise of everone livestreaming themselves on their little phones only deepened.
Well, regrettably the tragic death of the main cast DID have a negative effect on this show. No matter how I pitied the actor, the character he portrayed here was super annoying and the whole thingy culminated with him sharing a "kiss" with the main heroine which looked like a couple of 3-year olds. Still, the drama was watchable, it really sucked you in with the money theme. Unfortunatelly, the last episode, poor Miura Haruma could no longer film and he was LITERALLY replaced with a stupid toy (basically a waste of battery, but at least the first 3 epis we could ignore it) to a disservice both to him and to us. We then watched "events" like the main girl eating delicacies as ikameshi (a squid stuffed with sweet rice... actually rather gross) or dried horse mackerel (my stomach kinda hurt that episode) or meeting her estranged father which perhaps was a supposed to be a moving scene (yet sadly I'd say what's important is her father was not there all the years she needed him, not the money. Or that she is okay TODAY). Then it's all closed by a scene where the lead is sitting and talking to the TOY, which was really sad for the actress so in the end I pitied HER even more. Not sure that was what the writer intended. Not sure how to rate this, either. But I am not rating based on if the actor died, I'm just rating the product, the drama. And that was good 3 epis out of 4.
Okay, after reading your review I did go watch the bedscene at the end of epi 13. After all, I wanted to know what was so great about this drama that seemed so average to me, and lost my interest after mere 5 episodes. It's not a bad bedscene at all. I'm just not into this couple. And I am STILL not interested to watch them for such a long screentime, I won't go back to this drama (even this scene did not tempt me back;-) And he has a HORRIBLE haircut.
This is watchable only till you see the bedscene of Shan Cai & Dao Ming Si. After that, I strongly advise to DROP this because I remember to this day that nothing can completely RUIN your favorite show for you than something like THIS. I even use this show as a reference drama, a bad example when I want to discourage someone, LOL. Basically, it looks like the creators of this decided to make some other girl than Shan Cai the lead (if you heard some people saying that they did like her, then it's because the creators really did treat HER as the lead girl), make Dao Ming Si lose his memory THEREFORE his feelings for her and his PERSONALITY, and kill it all.
His daughter would never look like that because that is his face now with the plastic surgeries. They should do…
Perhaps you're right. But I do like her:) Wish korean male actors would stop taking the Michael Jackson route, but do they listen? LOL Let's not forget Michael aimed to look like a white WOMAN. Might be why I no longer like Lee Dong, but I do like his fictional female version:)
