I know cheating plots are a big NO to BL fans, but I think Sei and Hagi deserve a pass lol. Sei's roommate is emotionally manipulative (I swear there is something reallyt wrong with that guy!) and Hagi's GF is disgusted with his presence but can't say it outright.
just started this without any expectations. and I'm loving it! it's JBL-level of bonkers! I also noticed that the leading man is missing from the cast list lol. someone needs to add him
I can't believe Miseinen and See Your Love --- two solid BLs --- ended at the same time. The bar has been set really high for the next few BLs to follow. If they ended up as absolute stinkers, I bet people would be very unforgiving.
I think the story itself is basic BUT that narrative flows very smoothly and spares no time for trivial matters. I like it that way. Haven't read the original material so I can't really tell if they left out a lot of details to achieve this.
Now let's appreciate the two leads. The growth in their characters was so beautiful. Minase from a submissive kid to a strong adult, and Hirukawa from a lost, meandering soul to a man driven by ambitions. Through a seemingly strange relationship between these two tortured souls, they enabled each other to break out from their young, fragile shells. Character development was VERY real in this drama. You know what they reminded me of? Haoren and Chihiro from Happy of the End, a drama that was (coincidentally) headed by Kenshin's (Hirukawa's actor) ONE N ONLY bandmate.
There are many BLs on this platform that have been given excessively high ratings, and I tend to disagree with the popular opinion (lol). But Miseinen really deserved its 8.5+ rating. What a great way to kick off the 2025 BL season.
Unfortunately, the bite-sized reels format is here to stay. it attracts thousands of views within a short timeframe. if they publish this work in a more popular platform like TikTok, there's an enormous potential for the views to reach millions...
to be honest I would've liked this one better if it ended in a tragedy. I liked it UNTIL they brought up that six years later title card. Everything after that looked so forced. They could have released a second season or a special ep to tell us what happened next.
had a very good start. however, I felt that the writing got lazy midway up to the end. for real though, that was one of the most anti-climactic endings I've seen... the 3rd man (Yoobin) also felt like an unnecessary addition to the plot.
Why doesn't he contact the police. He literally have a butt load of evidence. I know it's for plot but it's frustrates…
Minase dropped the call because if he did, he will no longer be a "bystander" and will become fully involved with Hirukawa' situation, and people around him -- including his mom and his friends -- kept telling him to stay away from people like Hirukawa. If Minase gets involved, he would just jeopardize his chances for a bright future and thus disappoint everyone around him. I think the first couple of episodes explained it pretty well.
No one else is reporting Haru's situation because only Minase knows about it. As for the mother plot, I can only assume that her new husband won't accept Hirukawa considering that he was born from another father. And she's probably too dense to realize that her son is being abused by her ex-husband.
i started following the two boys on Twitter/Instagram and watching their Instagram lives, and I just have this strong feeling that Junsei has a massive crush on Kenshin lol
