LMAO, we all feel you hahaha. She becomes rock around episode 32 or 33, I don't remember exactly, and then she comes back but basically to get killed by YD, she doesn't cause any other problem. I don't what episode are you in but you don't have to be too concerned about her, everything she does in mortal real just catalyzes main leads relationship

I'm not sure if I understand yet. Ying Deng's true form is a lamp, she was a magical artifact for over 1000 years in YY's study room. As YY is a sovereign lord, and Heaven is a good environment filled with magic, she transformed into her human form and became an immortal attendant in Yanxu palace. She worked there for some years but got kicked out because YY didn't want her there anymore due to her evil nature or second thoughts about him (he said she wanted him to change his spiritual root). Then she escalated Heaven's social ladder by cultivating, and probably doing some dirty and cheap tricks, thanks to that she became the Magical Pavillion curator who wants to stay by YY's side and probably make him change her spiritual root to an immortal one.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean, the other three dijuns are introduced in episode 7 when the demon-god war happens. Ying Deng doesn't have previous life in the episode you're in, I suggest you follow the story through what you watch and not wiki information. Personally, everything made a lot of sense when I watched the drama for the first time. Maybe you can try wording your specific questions, and I'll gladly try to answer them.

This is how Chinese mythology/folklore works, Immortal don't work in the same sense as the gods of the western/occidental culture, here they age if they live long enough like Huode or Supreme Majesty, die if they get a severe injury involving their primordial soul, etc. I was also very confused when I watched my first xianxia drama too...

About being abrupt or not, I don't have anything to say since it depends on perception. They died, showed the result of the sacrifice (the mortal realm being happy, heaven being safe and the heavenly emperor being back), and then left a hint about both of them coming back to life.
About the special episodes, they could've explained how they made it back, but with the elements, they have shown throughout the drama and in the final minutes of the 59th episode, and also how healing works in the Immortal Samsara universe, you can have an overall idea of how they made it alive
