I think this didn't happen in the novel since the ending there is absolutely different. I created an explanation…
Yes, I think we also should remember that special episodes/epilogues are not meant to follow the drama timeline but more like to give some extra material to the viewer. 59th episode ending was good and heartwrenching by itself
Judging part 1 only as I haven't finished part 2 yet. I feel that Yandan's type of love is better than Yangyuan.…
Ying Yuan is the only Sovereign Lord left after the demon-god war. He holds the responsibility for the well-being of the three realms. Yan Dan doesn't have any major responsibility at the time, she doesn't fully understand the meaning and importance of YY's role in the three realms, and if she wants to do something the consequences won't be as big as if YY does. In the situation they were in, thanks to Ying Deng and Zhi Xi, YY took the best decisions to try reasonably to keep YD safe. If he defended her and claimed her to be her savior, they would've gotten tested with the red thread by Supreme Majesty, and YD would receive the love punishment. YY barely made it alive, imagine what would've happened to YD. Sadly, he didn't expect her to be in such despair that she jumped from the Bridge of Emptiness. Then YY punishes himself because besides hurting YD he has also broken the law, and admitting that he loves is something he had to do. I don't think one love is better than the other. They have different upbringings and life situations which lead them to act very differently. Both have their flaws and shortcomings when it comes to their love, but the mortal realm experiences and all of what they have to go through together will teach them to grow as a couple and also as individuals.
Extremely rare, I don't why Cdramas don't have more of this kind of matured couples going through thin and thick together no matter what. They always stood by each other . I may rewatch soon too, probably at the end of the year since I'm in classes right now. If you discover something new in your rewatch, do remember to share it here
Lol i think blood vomitting award went to love and redepmtion. Hard to beat the blood vomiting in that drama.…
They really need to improve doing trailers. For this drama, there were leaks, tons of trailers, stills with big spoilers. Funny thing was that we failed in almost every prediction hahaha. In terms of angst, I was like this before too. I don't know how I suddenly got into so much angsty dramas.
This does quite have a lot of angst, I don't feel it as angsty as ALP, LaR, or even AOL, because it's not noble idiocy, SFL's doing, or anything like it, it's something more mature and somehow fresh. So you're entering the mortal realm, right? That one is super fun to watch. And yeah, their relationship development and both of them standing by each other no matter what is definitely one of the highlights of IS.
