I’m not done watching the drama, but why does YY/TZ like flipping the turtle?
This was a CY's suggestion to show a part of YY/TZ's true, playful and unrestrained nature. During the time before he met YD, I guess besides playing Weiqi, this must be one of the few hobbies he had. Also, I guess it must be a way to cope with the heavy responsibility that comes with being a Sovereign Lord.

YD can only be a human if she passes the Night Forgetting River, but since she's unable to let go of her memories with YY, she can't make it. So the only option is to send her directly to the Mortal Realm as a spirit. I have to highlight that she is no longer a Heavenly immortal because she lost her immortality when she jumped from the Bridge of Emptiness. I would say a spirit is something in between a human and an immortal. They live thousands of years and gather as clans according to their true form (Fox clan, flower clan...); Before, they had their own realm, but due to the destruction inflicted by the demon-god war, their realm mixed with the mortal realm.
Well, I'm liking this so far. As I said before, this whole thing about the spirit clan is quite interesting and it's also something fresh for me in Cdramaland. Also, I know LY is meant to be cold and to have a poker face, but I really hope even once in a while he starts showing more changes in his facial expressions.
