No matter how many times I watch this , still hate Lu Jia xue so bad. I can’t stand his face 😭😭. I don’t know if if the makeup they did on the actor like I don’t know 😭😭. I be skipping his scene every time . He’s pissing me off , I never hate a character so bad🫠🫠. I know it’s not that deep too.
1- Zhang Zheng's aura is full of sass. I love ding yu xi, he barely said anything, and I could feel the sass on the other side lmaoooo. He was side eyeing and rolling his eyes at everyone, nobody was spared hahahahaha. Dng Yu xi the actor that you are. I'm obsessed with his expression.
2-Leon's character , ml, gave me major vibe of cheng yi . i don't know how to explain it well but even if it's two different drama , I think they did a great job casting them as father and son.If you watch cheng yi's other drama maybe you will know what I'm talking about. Same vibe as the Lei , father and son duo in BOY and Dashing youth. Sword and beloved is not out yet but i feel like father and son will have similar vibe and personality.
3- some of you might find it funny but , the first episodes felt very demonic. I'm use to watch stuff with demons and all sort of creature but this one caught me off guard and did not felt like fantasy. called me crazy lmaoo. It felt like an actual ( i know it's a sect, dont come at me) cult. Like the background sound when they were doing the sword ceremony and all that.

The first time I watched it , I was so focus on the cinematography, the songs and how beautiful and beautiful the actors are. I knew the story but it didn’t hit me like. the excitement took over when I watched for the first time.

The dialogue scenes are the soul of the story.it’s not just about demons and power it’s about grief , identity, sacrifice and love that doesn’t always come with fireworks.This show is a testament for all the characters but also a life lesson for the viewers. It’s a testament of Zhu Yan and Wei Xiao love story. it’s a testament to grief it’s a testament to loyalty. I never felt like that with any other drama.
don’t let the rating and comments fool you . it’s actually good. I decided to watch it for the second time after what almost 2 years? and I like it better now then when I first watched it.
people have no patience and hate slow burn. Give it a try and make are own judgement. I will even change my rating and give it a 9/10. I admit it’s not perfect and does have some defaults and missing plot probably du to editing but not that bad. I’ve seen better but also worse.
The goddess the war demon are worshipping is (Goddess of embroidery) I don't remember her name but yah.
