Nope, if I were the FL, I should have pointed out how he misjudged me, and did not trust me enough, his then fiancee,…
It just goes to show he's not really in it for the whole ride. Marriage is literally for better or for worse, in sickness and in health... Kang Min couldn't abide by those.
Was considering this too (especially after that WTH plot twist in It's Okay Not To Be Okay), but after ep 8, I realized that Do Ha has good ears for voices. He recognized his ex's brother's voice right away, despite just hearing it through a phone call. There is no way he wouldn't recognize his ex's voice if she were Syaon.
P.S. My then points as to why Syaon could be the missing ex are the ff: - she's toxic and obsessed with Do Ha, just like the ex - she's reckless when it involves getting Do Ha's attention--- the fake injury and fake suicide attempt - she was overweight for idol standards; well, if you're not trained to become an idol, weight might be an issue - it was emphasized in the series that she looks like the ex - while her claim as to how she knew about Do Ha's real identity (news of the murder case) seems plausible, it would also seem fake
After a long list of cdramas, finally Iβve found the guts to start Kdrama again! Thankfully i picked this up,…
That's sadly what most C-dramas lack. I'd usually get that good storyline in fantasy epic genres though but they take at least 25 eps to keep the plot moving.
Kang Min, as much as how kind you may seem, I'd still choose Do Ha over you. I'd rather have someone who wouldn't hide me from the truth, no matter how painful it may be, than to have someone who lies about being okay just to make me feel good.
I'd rather have someone who spends his time discussing about trivial things of day to day with me, than have someone who speaks about building a future together but couldn't even share his challenges with me.
Your poor communication skills and mistrust on Solhee's capability to withstand trials with you makes you a walking red flag, Kang Min-ah.
Do people REALLY think it's ok for the sml to hide things, make decisions on behalf of the fl bc apparently he…
Nope, if I were the FL, I should have pointed out how he misjudged me, and did not trust me enough, his then fiancee, to share his burdens with. If the Writer added that part, I would have clapped.
I really love how this drama seems simple yet rich at the same time. It's obvious that the Writer took a lot of time developing the characters, especially the lead roles. They're multi-dimensional, in a way. You could also follow their thought process which makes the series easier to grasp than other shows.
I have no complaints about this drama except ONE THING! THE FL'S OUTFITSπ some of them are really good but…
And that white dress with blue pants too πππ I love Sohyun but it seems that her stylist has been too stuck in her sageuk dramas that she can't style her properly in modern clothes. π₯Ή
I'm sure his Ex is pretty much alive. They never found her body. My wild theory, she got pregger with his J music…
I also theorized that she could be the CEO's wife, but when I rewatched ep 2, I just noticed that his wife was shown on the vid call and looked and sounded nothing like the ex. I just hope his concern for Doha/Seung Ju is sincere and he truly considers him his friend.
Waiting for scene that SML Will confess still love her and so FL is basically lie detector, she found that he…
Interestingly, FL loved SML's honesty and sincerity throughout their relationship that's why it hurt her a lot towards the end when he kept lying to her.
So it's gonna be a battle between two honest men in her life soon. π
I've never been a fan of Kim So Hyun's dramas - her acting is bearably alright but the dramas she chose tend to…
Try at least one episode if it's up to your preference. Calling this show rubbish just because it's not the OP's cup of tea is too much. Several people like myself have been enjoying it so far.
It's been almost a month since this ended so I can finally rate this without bias.
The series started out very great--- with a strong plot, very compelling characters (especially the child actors! πππ), nice cinematography, and a realistic portrayal of the 90s. The wealthy truly looked affluent, and the middle class appeared like one.
Despite it being just 12 eps, however, it still felt draggy and long. The pacing in the first half was really good but the middle towards the end were filled with scenes with almost zero dialogue, just the character feeling the moment. The scoring didn't help too (although their OSTs still haunt me till this day). It felt like the director focused on the start and end of the series but didn't pay much attention from the middle part leading to the finale.
Yes, I found the chemistry of the leads very good (in contrast to some who found it unappealing), but perhaps the screenwriter/webtoon writer wanted to prepare an onion-like of drama, with several layers to be peeled, only to have underwhelming parts as they kept peeling.
The drama had its great moments, but also meh moments. Nonetheless, I loved it. I appreciated all the efforts made to create it. And for that I'm grateful. π I'll always remember this as that drama whose younger version made me cry a lot (like Missing You in 2012!), and whose older versions taught me how to become a better adult.
To anyone hesitating on watching this, this is your sign to go start that first ep. I hope you also have tissues within reach, just in case. π
P.S. Grief and loss tags are proper. It's a huge part of the story, so better prepare.
Kang Min was truly written for this very purpose and I'm glad he's a well-written SML.
He recognized his ex's brother's voice right away, despite just hearing it through a phone call.

Ep 7 was so good!! ππππ₯Ή
Some endings just cannot be undone.
