riiiight? I love how they still act the same with their families, still lovey dovey. That way their families also see them ending up together as they’re just so naturally looking the part already. Quite refreshing as most drama couples tend to bring the intimacy down a few notches when they are with family members.

Truly. Sadly though, iQIYI is one of, if not the biggest producer of idol dramas that’s why most of the trending ones are theirs. They also tied up with agencies whose actors would get casted in their projects.
Hopefully they’d collaborate with Netflix more for international distribution. But for The Best Thing, considering it’s still their no. 1 modern drama to date, they might hold onto it a little longer.

Riiight? They’re doing a disservice to the actors. Even Zhang Linghe despises how people are just more concerned about his looks and not his works. These fanatics are truly something else.

The only thing I hated is how he easily moved on. I made peace that their love is bound to fail, but the guy easily jumped to his next relationship and even proposed right away while the woman who’s been with him only had to make do of his “Lao po”s but never even gotten her a ring to seal the deal. It was all she ever wanted, and he could tell, but no, he refused to satisfy her dream.

I loved everything about the storytelling.

It was engaging, honest, raw, and they kept everything real especially Xu Ruohan’s delivery of a bright, young girl having experiencing her first love. Dare I say, she really excels in her ability to keep things natural.


The title pretty much sums it all, but I was grateful that movie allowed us to throughly see how things went wrong. The misgivings, resentments, unsatisfied dreams, tired heart who’s always hoping, reaching… everything about this is just so human. Very relatable, sometimes hits close to home.

That’s why I’m so sooo proud of JY for managing to let him go and never looked back. Now she can fill her life with the things she missed from her youth because of him

It ranked Top 1 on iQIYI’s overseas popularity charts, the related topic on TikTok has exceeded 1.1 billion views, it scored as high as 8.8 on kisskh, and during its premiere period, it ranked No.1 in google search trends across multiple key markets!

They’ve all gotten so close quickly!
It makes me happy too that finally Xu Ruohan is now getting into the variety world.

you’re still at ep 30. you would understand why people called it poor writing after you finish ep 40. Nonetheless, it’s still a nice show.

The poor writing always gets talked about on Reddit. Discussions there are more level-headed as not too many biased fans.
