She did, even in interview she said that when she was dubbing her voice she cried because of He Su Ye's character
There are parts that she and Linghe dubbed, but check the full cast. Li Min is listed as Shen Xi Fan’s voice actor and Yi Fan as He Su Ye’s. Yi Fan is the go-to voice actor of Linghe as they have similar voice, he also dubs him in Pursuit of Jade.
Most high-rated dramas in MDL have disappointed me. Given current high rating, I thought POJ could be an exception.…
This drama’s formula really hooks those who aren’t fond of this kind of genre. The way it was initially presented was like a form of art that’s why international viewers really adored it. But for people who’ve been watching historical dramas for so long, the writing in this is just so annoying especially the political part where they didn’t fully thresh out what happened or if they did, the impact was low considering the expectation. Still, kudos to the team for the achievements. I just hope new fans wouldn’t gloss over the actos’ other projects just because they’re stuck with PoJ. I can already see a lot of new PoJ CP fans wrecking havoc in The Best Thing and Overdo pages/edits.
After completing all zhang Linghe's drama I went to watch his upcoming dramas and found "Eternal Faith"....…
It’s leaning to a BL route. The government isn’t fond of this genre and BL releases recently made the actors cancelled for some reason. If Eternal Faith will be released, it will do more harm than good especially that the actors already made a name for themselves. They filmed that when they were relatively industry rookies who kept accepting dramas offered to them for experience.
More than a week has passed and it’s getting annoying hoe hard I try to help others understand the politics and the details of this drama. That just goes to show how it’s poorly written. The first part was done well, made us immerse in the story and in the art— cinematography, scoring, costumes, set design, etc. But the second half especially towards the end didn’t even give justice to how we all expected the root of the story will be well-explained. It didn’t help that Tian XiWei is so romance-averse that it showed a lot on the screen, making their intimate scenes so awkward that not even the great kisser Linghe could salvage it.
I'm currently watching "the best thing" currently on ep 20 .... I loved the plot , the story line , the…
Xu Ruohan may not be the best crier but she definitely made the show Shen Xifan lovable. In one of their promotional interviews, even Zhang Linghe commended how amazing Xu Ruohan was in portraying Shen Xifan saying, the show Shen Xifan is very different from the book and script Shen Xifan that he knows. He liked how she injected a lot of herself to breathe life into the character that acting with her left him in awe. To this, Ruohan said that she just thought how would He Su Ye fall in love with Xifan if she’s just depressed all throughout? So she insisted in letting her still be optimistic and loves living.
needed to come back here after watching this drama when it first come out because people on social media were…
Hmmm. I think it really boils down to their love language. It’s not because He Su Ye does things for her then he’s putting in the effort and she’s not.
He Su Ye’s love language, apart from quality time and physical touch, is acts of service. He loves doing things for Xifan, treating her so lovingly like she deserves. But do not forget that Xifan’s love languages, apart from quality time and physical touch, are gift giving and words of affirmation. She buys him flowers, gives him rings, and says beautiful things to him— mostly assurances about how he’s hers, that he’s no longer alone, and that he is loved— such things that He Su Ye hasn’t received/heard since his Mom died. Xi Fan definitely filled that hole in his heart. Of course, before they dated, Xifan was oblivious to her true feelings. She didn’t realize that he likes He Su Ye romantically, he merely regarded him as her friend, her confidante. Her past relationship was still looming over her, she wasn’t fully healed, that when it was clear that He Su Ye wanted more out of their friendship, she just couldn’t reciprocate yet that leaving was her best option.
Note that when Xifan finally realized that she’s healed enough to love again, she went all out. Even gifted He Su Ye a ring to fully claim him as hers, erasing whatever doubts he may have about her love for him (if there’s any, the guy was so down bad!!).
If we’re still keeping tabs, it’s actually Xifan who’s been putting the effort in making her love known— she expresses it in words and deeds. Note that it was always her who does it first— she was the first one to confess, not just once but twice!, she was even the one to ask her out, and she’s the one who proposed! All of these made He Su Ye filled so love that his abandonment issues were far gone, he even was confident enough to let Xifan study abroad for how ever long she needs as he knows she’ll always come back to be with him. 🌸
Episode 13 and not liking FL very much, she knew she wanted to go abroad for studies, and yet became close to…
The thing is, she didn’t realize she was already falling in love. She merely regarded him as a friend. Note that he was the only one she’s comfortable talking about her inner struggles because the people around her already had their biases about her life (parents wanted her to continue her ties with Yan Heng and the hotel as they thought this was the more stable route and she’s not getting any younger; her best friends are also Yan Heng’s friends that she’s not comfortable talking about specific details about how he’s badly treating her, and thus confirming how they’ve always viewed him as the bad guy in the relationship).
He Su Ye offered her a world where she can just be herself, free to talk about her views, thoughts, and even plans of the future. Her confidante. It was only months later when she realized that she’s actually like him romantically and if not for the alcohol, she would have continued ignoring her feelings as the thought of a long distance relationship is still traumatic for her.
Some of his fans don’t like her as there are hints that they could be secretly dating.
Riiight? Notice his interviews with her too, they’re very comfortable and can express their thoughts well. I also enjoy their bickering off screen, and how they challenge each other’s opinions but still being respectful. Plus the way Linghe had all these bold ideas for their intimate and romantic scenes was also a plus. As a third person, it’s maybe because Linghe somehow found in Xu Ruohan a match in these scenes, she can keep up with the intimacy level he can put out for said scenes, which is rare in C-drama world.
Dir. Randy Che was a cinematographer for over a decade before transitioning to a directorial role, so that explains why the cinematography here is top-tier 😍
