any recommendations for other dramas similar to prison playbook and hospital playlist? the amazing writing and…
I also want to add ‘The Fiery Priest’ in the amazing list they gave you already. However, this series is more geared to the crackhead side of the spectrum but a good show nonetheless.
only the editing and cinematography are great.the story is unnecessarily stretched no chem between the lead and…
Extremely popular. The webtoon was well-known to begin with and the great start that this drama had, attracted a huge amount of viewers. But I guess, they were disappointed too considering that IC wasn’t even nominated in the Best Drama category at this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards despite its mainstream popularity,
I'm really not happy that Han Se Joo forgives that cat-throwing jerk Baek Tae Min! Why? WHY?!! Why leave him alone…
I guess you can tell he still treasures the years he spent with Baek Tae Min as his brother/close friend. He was his only friend in that turbulent part of his life and he knew deep down that Tae Min has a good side. That’s why he’s willing to save him from totally ruining his chances for redemption.
Besides, we all saw how Han Se Ju deals with pain. After acknowledging it, he simply moves on and forgives the people who hurt him in his own way, not necessarily maintaining his relationship with them. He just knows when and how to let go and that could really explain why he’s very resilient despite all the things life had thrown at him.
Since he has completely got over with the “FATE” betrayal drama, anything related to it no longer mattered to him, making it very easy for him to part with the original draft and give it to Tae Min. He simply forgave and moved on. To me, that’s the epitome of maturity and wisdom. Something that we could all emulate.
The character of the ML is the nastiest& most unbearable hero I've ever seen. The FL is pathetic and annoying…
Their love in the 1930s grew overtime that even the characters could not pinpoint exactly where it all started. Su Hyun was already in love with Hwi Young even before she found out that he was apparently her savior. Hwi Young only acknowledged that the fondness he has for her was actually more than just being the group’s leader, when he was fearing for her life for that last mission. I guess that’s telling of how deep their love for each other was, albeit they could not express it outwardly. It was planted and beautifully bloomed in their hearts for years without anyone knowing.
One thing I'm happy about this drama is that it gathered respectful fans, unlike other overrated kdramas out there…
You completely took the words out of my mouth. Masterpieces like CT usually gather the mature and respectful fans, and I’m glad CT has a lot of them. I truly love the community that we have here.
This drama started really, REALLY well. It was deserving of all the initial hype. The editing, cinematography, and plot coupled with great scoring were unprecedented. However, everything got thrown away at around ep 12. The writing became too sloppy that the characters seemed liked hypocrites. So much for character development huh. Plus the last 2 episodes? What was that even? It’s like the writer didn’t know how to end things well, so he used his webtoon experience and just whisked whatever plot twists he had in mind, capitalizing on what most fans wanted to see. That in the process it lost coherence, logic, and brilliance. Acting-wise, the actors were stellar. But everything else about this drama was just plain disappointment, especially the romance. It was almost disgusting and seemingly a mere afterthought.
I wanted to appease myself with the fact that it’s the first drama of the screenwriter anyway, but no, he just created a very big damage to the story that it’s beyond forgivable.
I would not recommend this to friends without a big warning. Watch at your own risk.
Who's the new chef at Soo Ah's tea house in the LAST episode? LOL. So she's gonna loosen up and hook up with a…
LOL that’s merely your assumption though. That was not even part of the ending. Who knows, considering her personality, she was just trying to ride the thought of her friend about the chef and nothing more.
dang it lost the post. I will make it short this time Yi Seo to me was just evil. She was selfish and only cared…
I’m with you! Felt like the writer flipped a coin for the ending as he was adamant to pin Sae Ro Yi with either of the two girls and he got the Yi Seo side. So he just whisked whatever he has in mind to keep Soo Ah out of the picture, sacrificing the plot.
One thing I noticed while watching some clips from youtube is why Netflix keep on changing bg musics of scenes…
I’ve read in Chicago Typewriter comments that Netflix did’t have license in some songs, and this usually happens when the drama uses old songs, not their original ones made for the drama itself. This completely threw me off when I realized CT had a lot of songs that weren’t played in the Netflix version. So I had to rewatch it (to my advantage) in Viu.
I know not many will like the whole amnesia plot that is super duper clichéd in dramas. But here i actually get…
I agree. Just like Ji Won, viewers would also have trust issues with all the throwing back and forth of whether Hyun So truly loves Ji Won or was it all just a facade. The writers needed to assure us that it was all pure love after all. And how to do that? Start from base 1. Strip Hyun So off of all those layers so Ji Won and the viewers can decipher for themselves that it was indeed pure love and nothing else. Nothing can beat amnesia in that lane, at least to me.
