I think its nothing big I mean if you have seen there's that past story where Seri was left alone at beach by…
Hi, I hope this is not too late but allow me to shed some light regarding CLOY’s take on not delving deeper into the biological mom thing.
It has been so because most South Korean families would cover infidelity issue to save face, especially so for elite families. It’s kinda common there that it needed no special attention for the script.
So basically, SeRi’s dad and adoptive Mom are both from prominent families. Dad cheated and bore a child- Seri, but covered his infidelity by making people believe that his wife bore her. The wife just went with the flow, but the whole fiasco actually wrecked her, affecting her mental state that she wanted to end her life but first she must abandon Seri at the beach to do so.
When she woke up from her mental stupor, it was already very late as Seri got severely traumatized by the betrayal, as she didn’t know yet that she’s not her biological Mom. It only made sense later when she found out she’s born out of infidelity, making her think that she’s truly unwanted by the person she loved the most.
Then she left the house, straining their relationship more.
And yes, I get your point that you want even just a piece of her biological Mom in the series, and also yes, everything else that I will say are based on assumptions. It’s just that the story did imply that the biological Mom was insignificant society-wise, perhaps she was just a one-night-stand by the CEO or just another whore that got impregnated. All of which made Seri think it’s pointless to even meet her because it would open a whole can of worms. It could even affect their family name even more.
Loool, this tv show is exactly like One Spring Night. Or should I say it's the other way around. Idk, gives me…
Both dramas are from the same production crew too. SYJ got offered One Spring Night but she turned it down (despite her closeness to the team) perhaps because it was pretty similar with SITR. She then got offered with CLOY and accepted it.
I think the biggest win was the fact that HJP wasn't lonely by the end. From everything that had been set up with…
I think the problem of most of our co-JP stans is we underestimated JP’s resilience. The finale slapped me hard with that. He was really strong and tough all along that romantic heartbreak could not do much damage on the other facets of his life. And that was the most satisfying part. “Ahh, I rooted for the best character indeed. He’s really the best one to emulate.”
Exactly. The child's behavior because of this drama is sad. People can hate the script but the directing was fantastic,…
Nah. I prepared myself from ep 1 to not lean on anyone to end up with the girl yet the plot devices still screamed for JP endgame but I saw how they were ignored by the writer in order for DoDal and made the resolution for the premise lackluster.
Still, it was satisfying to see a safe ending. DoDal was cute and JP-Halmeoni combo was too adorable.
The letters were written only for 1 year, and grandma would help with those letters. Later, Dal Mi kept on writing…
Grandma only helped in crafting the letters during that 1st time. The rest were solely Han Ji Pyeong’s doing already. The letters stopped after a year when JP left for Seoul. Perhaps the reason why Dalmi seemed to never have gotten over “Nam Do San” because there was no closure between them.
Is anyone here who is watching this just because they have started it and don't have anything else to watch,,,,…
I’m still on ep4 after starting more than a week ago, just trying to pass time while waiting for Start-Up’s new episodes. But I have no driving force to finish this. Please tell me, does this get better?
Gives me the reply series vibes and looks like the screenwriter is the same :D
The scriptwriter and Director are the same. It somehow appears like they’ve written a plot for a Reply 1999 but decided to not purse a tetralogy so they tweaked it and made Hospital Playlist instead.
ML had to sort things out with his personal life too. He had a falling out with his Boss because he defended his protege’s decision of not signing for the NBA. So he eventually resigned. His protege convinced him to open his own Basketball agency instead, so he did. As he was slowly thriving in the field, he went to Seoul to meet FL but it didn’t do well. They healed separately and met again a season later, this time in Busan Station. And that’s where their real relationship started,

And I agree on Im So Jung looking older than Yoo Ah In. Sometimes, she can no longer hide her real age.
