I've seen the same thing in other Asian series (My Bromance, for instance). Makes you wonder if this is something that is common in Thai/Asian society, or if it's just a weird narrative trope to set up a certain dynamic (sudden out-of-the-blue stepsiblings).
As a westerner growing up in a context where it's normal with separated and recombined families, it seems very strange to not introduce your kids to your new S.O. and their kids, letting them get to know each other and ease them into the new relationship before formalising it. Doing it this way in my country would be the sign of terrible parenting, whereas here it's obviously not intended to be that at all -- the boys' parents seem nice and kind, far from abusive , selfish or indifferent. It's kind of mindboggling.
Is it just me, or is there something off with the coding on this page? I don't experience any problems with other pages on MDL, but this one is out of alignment somehow (half of the thumbnails in the left column are cut off), and the discussion topic with all the watch links aren't showing up on the main page even though it's there when you click "Recent Discussions".
Apologize again for another off-topic in this comment section. If you're looking for another BL drama this time,…
I agree, I am in love with it! The visuals are amazing, such pretty cinematography, and the martial arts scenes are beautifully choreographed -- and the FLIRTING, OMG. YouTube is full of comments like "How did this get past the censors!?" I am also very happy that Gong Jun decided to do another "BL" drama, and this one looks to be a big hit.
So this is a kind of spinoff movie with an earlier incarnation of Zhao Yunlan, during the Republican era? Then I get the recasting, but they could have kept Zhu Yilong as Shen Wei... Except that would have been unfair to Bai Yu, I guess. Anyway, it might be terrible or great. I guess we'll see.
the writer is named Priest.. you can search his works on your own.. all of it are all awesome.. like sha polang…
Hey Hikari! :) I didn't know about Mo Du /Light the Darkness, thanks for that. I really wanted to like Legend of Fei, not least for Wang Yibo, but it couldn't hold my interest. : /
The impossible choice of either having to wait for new episodes (and be having severe withdrawal) or to wait for the entire series and binge it (and be unable to talk to others about it in the mean time)

I'm pretty sure Priest is a woman, though I could be wrong -- but yes, only Guardian so far before now. EDIT: It seems that Legend of Fei is also based on a novel by Priest. Sorry about that.

Sha Po Lang is also being made into a drama with the English title "Winner is King", hopefully later this year: https://kisskh.at/50095-sha-po-lang You are right, it should say in the drama details that it's adapted from a novel by Priest. I've submitted an edit to that effect.
wetv singapore unable to watch and I have no vpn for thailand, I have to watch it via unofficial website
I used the free Chrome extension "Free VPN", which has Thailand amongs its servers. I used it for Gen Y too, on iQiyi. Sometimes it works without a hitch but sometimes you have to disconnect and reconnect a few times if the server is too slow or unstable. But at least it's free.
It does mean bad, though. A wolf is someone who will do whatever they want to get what they want, without caring about the people they deal with. So in business it means someone who is ruthless, and in love it could mean someone who will seduce others without actually caring about them, or about the consequences for them.
I've watched the two subbed eps and I'm really liking it so far! The visuals are amazing, the fight scenes have great choreography, and Gong Jun's intensity is killing me :)
