I really adore Gene, and Up plays him wonderfully. He's a grumpy introvert who doesn't do well with lots of people…
I guess he's not a typical BL protagonist? I love seeing someone like him, grown up but a little but messed up, a bit clueless, not very confident, used to mainly his own company and his fantasy worlds, but totally adorkable without having the least idea about it himself. He's probably at least demi-ace, since he hasn't figured out his sexuality by this point. He has a little bit of the same adorkability that Adachi in Cherry Magic has, but Gene is more tsundere. I mean, what's not to love? XD
i have sooo many thoughts and no one to rant to so I'm going to let them out here,, this might be a bit messy…
I really adore Gene, and Up plays him wonderfully. He's a grumpy introvert who doesn't do well with lots of people and strangers, and a very private person, and he is being very challenged! He's also confused about his own feelings and (possibly) sexuality. Totally relatable for me.
I loved some of the previous instalments in the HIStory series, but I'm not sure I'll continue watching this. The characters are either super bland or unlikeable, the plot seems super clichéd, and the whole thing just feels stupid. Oh, and there's that very problematic thing that gave me the absolute willies.
The production looks good, but it has no charm. I've watched really low-budget, amateurish BL productions that were still enjoyable because they had charm and it was obvious that everyone involved were trying their hardest. This drama, though? I don't care about any of these characters. I don't know what they are trying to do here, but it doesn't look like my kind of thing at all.
Don't trust my say-so, though -- it's free on Viki, so you should watch it and form your own opinion.
We will just continue from EP5, I am kinda guessing they will need another week for 4Eps of subs. In that time…
Yes, and I finally got them to work when I opened the links in the TOR browser. For some reason they didn't work for me in Chrome. Thanks for your help!
I just watched it in Chrome with the Earth VPN browser extension. It's in the Chrome web store, just add it to Chrome, activate it with either Thailand or the Philippines selected, and go to the WeTV page. It may take a little while to load, so don't give up if your browser gives you an error at first.
(´~ヾ) hmmm~~~ let's see....I honestly can't remember why I got hooked to CM. I discovered this drama by watching…
And I'm in GMT/UTC +1, so when it's late afternoon for you it's late morning for me. Previously I have asked people to state their time zone but most of the few responses we got were from people in the Western Hemisphere, so we scheduled accordingly. But I'm sure there are more people in your part of the world who would like to join! Saturdays seem to be earmarked for J-Dramas currently, so maybe a Sunday would work.

For me there would be a learning curve, yeah. It would take time, and that annoys people. (I actually tried to download the files Estelll linked to, but I couldn't figure out how to do it; I feel very stupid. And my torrent client wouldn't accept the torrent links...possibly because of the Chinese characters, possibly some other reason.)
Ideally (but which is something that would also require significantly more work) there should be an edit of the time stamps for the subs. One thing that is problematic with Chinese subtitles is that they are on screen for such a short time. Maybe Chinese people read characters much faster than we read letters, but I consistently find that subs on Chinese dramas tend to flash past too quickly to read -- and I grew up with subtitles, so it's not that I'm not used to them. It's better for alphabetic readers to have longer segments of text on screen for a longer time (and appearing earlier, disppearing later). But yeah, even though I have never tried subbing I can still figure out that that would mean a LOT more work than just using the existing time stamps. I guess I should google some tutorials or something...

OMG that would be AWESOME! Uncut episodes! I don't know enough about this kind of thing, you'd need the hi-res files and good video editing software (and know how to use it, I guess) and then the subs would need to be synched to the re-edited episodes... And you might have to split the episodes into parts to keep the high resolution. And someone would also need to trawl Bilibili for *all* the cut scenes and figure out where they belong...preferably someone who can read Chinese.
