Ooh, Sha Po Lang has been on my TBR list for some time, time to go read it! And I'm a fan of Chen Zhe Yuan since Handsome Siblings, so I'm super happy to see him here.
When they wanted to change he song in the studio, he got really irritated. A part of him also thought the song…
I think there was a time jump. The headpull and kiss is when the album is just about to be released, which means they've been working on it for some time together. It takes a lot of work to get from song compositions on just a guitar to a release-worthy studio album on an actual label. We don't see that process which makes it confusing, but I'm betting it has been at least a week or two.
I think many ppl are being a bit harsh on this series. This is meant to be a somewhat goofy romantic comedy and…
I must say that I was one of those who felt very uncomfortable with episode 5, and also one or two of the earlier ones, but episode 6 redeemed almost everything for me (I say almost, because the attempted rape was absolutely awful, and the psychopathic ex-gf is a trope I really don't want to see anymore -- but at least the rape wasn't portrayed as "romantic"). It was obviously the turning point, and the start of some real character growth for Ton (and about time, too). I also get that it's comedy, but not everyone has the same sense of humour, and for me the uncomfortableness sometimes outweighed the comedy.
It was very nice to finally get these "missing" scenes, but the editing together of them left a lot to be desired, and I can't help but feel that the production company didn't really do SaifahZon (or Mii2) justice with this. :\
I agree, this was just unnecessarily painful for everybody involved. I have no idea what they are doing with the…
You do have a point, and I totally agree with you about the place Yu is in emotionally and what he needs to do -- I just take issue with the way it's done here. I haven't read the fanfiction this is based on, but it's possible that it works better in that format than in a live adaptation with the same actors as the work the fanfic is based on. It's so very obvious that everything circles around these particular actors, and God's absence is turning into such a tangible void that it's taking up far too much space in the series. I can imagine this being funny and poignant in the fanfic, but here it's just confusing and frustrating. Everything is too vague and mysterious. It's like they are setting it up for Pha's eventual return, and a reveal of some deep, complex plotty reason for his sudden disappearance and unexplicable lack of adequate communication, like being in witness protection or being undercover with the mob or something of equal scale, but I'm pretty sure that isn't what is going to happen -- if it were, they would have had Pha as an actual character in the beginning, to make us feel something for him. This is what I mean about it not working in this adaptation. But maybe they will resolve it satisfactorily, in which case I will be pleasantly surprised. I am enjoying it as a whole, so far.
