Hmmm...guys, there is something that is bothering me about some "BL fans". They seem to have forgotten what BL…
I don't agree. You are basically declaring "queer baiting is okay". Fantasy-like portrayals is okay, but not to the extent of harming representations. Here's some juice of truth for you:
1. When guys like other guys, even if they like only that ONE SPECIFIC person, they're not straight. 2. Fantasizing about hot straight girls getting it on isn't okay either. 3. Your comment is pretty selfish and basically talks about how "this is girls' territory and their imaginations. LGBTQ members shouldn't ask for proper representation because this isn't about them, it's about us." 4. When we are talking about sensitive topics such as these, we shouldn't be glorifying toxic tropes. Kieta hatsukoi is great representation! No doubt about that. However, we shouldn't be saying it's okay that two guys that identify as straight likes guys, because that's microaggression and internalized homophobia.
Here's my general review with the teaser and why I think it's gonna be gud.
1. The documentary style is everything. The camera moving around, the odd moments that make it a little bit much better. 2. The color grading made everything look beautiful. 3. The concept is very awesome and unique. 4. The music is already up to my tastes.
I think FILO BLs were going run down for awhile, but it seems like we're in a rebirth era. Thank youu ticket2me!!!
What microphone are they using for this series? It has been bothering me since episode one. Whenever someone raises their voice, the microphones just give up for some reason.
I would love a 3rd season exploring Bas and Q's life
Please, no third season. I have a comment below explaining why we shouldn't get a third season. In short, in life, we don't need to know how their stories end, only how they begin (just like Teh and Oh-aew's story beginning again as a couple).
after itsay and ipytm i feel like more people are now interested in nadao production and bkpp's future projects,…
To be fair, Nadao was always big locally in Thailand. GMMTV could only dream. Foreigners that went to Thailand saw that Nadao artists were usually on Billboards, Ads, Television, etc.
As much as I love this show, please don't do a second season. The story has been told already and we don't need to force milk into a dead cow. How about giving a new project to Pond-Phuwin or Neo-Louis?
It wasn't perfect and it certainly wasn't deep, but who cares? It was a fun ride. Thank you, Fish Upon The Sky. I didn't know that you would become one of my favorites, and I certainly didn't have high expectations for you. However, you surely delivered more than what I expected. What can I say? I love Pi's way of talking and though processes (lol).
I really loved the ending. Although it may seem like a closed ending to some, it is actually very open. Just like in life, we don't know how it ends. All we need to do is to think for the present. Who knows if Oh Aew and Teh will break up again? They never promised us that they will stay forever, only that they will try their best to be with each other. And I think that's how we should approach relationships. We don't need to approach relationships as some "forever fatale" that we need to force. If it does not last, make it so. As long as we have tried our best, let the course run for itself.
Nice message, IPYTM. Oddly, I like the message here more than ITSAY.
After watching "Coming of Age" (the last OST), I understood why it ended that way (and also why there will be no possibility of a season 3).
Many people said that once a cheater, always a cheater. After reading the lyrics, you'll realize that BKPP has acknowledged fully that relationships aren't smooth sailing and that the may break up. Oh-aew doesn't need the certainty that they will be together forever, and he just wants to be with the person he loves and try to fight the problems together.
The line "Just know that tomorrow will be yesterday when time goes by" tells us that Oh Aew has forgotten the past, as it was yesterday. And that even the problems that will come soon, he knows that it will also soon be forgotten.
Also, as for season 3, the line "We don't need to know where this'd take us" tells us that the story of them after getting back together does not need to be told. The future is left for us to imagine.
Coming of age lyrics (1st stanza and chorus) (for reference): The world goes round every second and we could hardly feel it Everything around us always keeps changing Sometimes our love is unpredictable Let's give it a try and learning together In our life, nothing is certain People could be in love and break up easily Sometimes in our life There are thousands of paths for us to walk on Each path carries a different dream I just know that you're the only one in my heart I just know that you're the only one that I meant to me We don't need to know where this'd take us Just know that tomorrow will be yesterday when time goes by Just know that we don’t have to give each other any promises We just need to stay together, for better or worse Just that we never let go of each other's hands Just know that we don’t have to give each other any promises
Oddly, even though this show is pure fluff and there are some red flags, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I though it was going to go south since episode 7 and 8, with all the dragging plot points and stuff, but honestly it held up and I'm enjoying it again. Pretty sad to know next week is the last episode.
Looking at the documentary, this season is way more emotional than before. The atmosphere is always heavy while shooting and everyone is so in character that it pains me to see them want to make better decisions (especially BKPP) compared to their characters' decisions. For example, BK would not let go of PP when Oh-aew broke up with Teh. PP would not want to hit BK when Oh-aew was very angry at Teh.
I don't see how they can fix this in one episode. If we do get a happy ending I feel its going to be rushed!
I'm pretty sure it won't be rushed. They're following the typical story arc. If you look back at ITSAY at the end of episode 4, the same thing happened. There was a huge fight too. However, they were able to wrap it up well.
They can get them back together, or right to the edge of getting back together, and leave us hanging on a cliff…
There were no plans for season 3. Season 2 was already planned out and the directors were acknowledging that they split the story into 2 PARTS. No season 3.
I have read through the comments and I just realized how people have not pointed this out before. Teh pointed out that Oh Aew is just conflicted and confused about his career, where in reality, Oh Aew was already decided. He loved marketing and he loved Teh. Teh was supposed to be the "decided" one but in the end, he's still as conflicted and confused. He doesn't know if his career path is right as he has not been in any castings. He is confused if he still loves Oh Aew. The irony, right?
People are angry and furious about episode 3. Pretty sure that's what the screenwriters and the director wanted you to feel. So if you feel that way, don't say that the director is bad. If you exhibit the same feeling he wanted you to exhibit, then he be damn good.
Am I the only one spotting the red flags from Mork? Pi has told him that he doesn't like Mork already, regardless if he's telling the truth or not. Mork shouldn't force it, and especially, he shouldn't tell everyone that "Pi likes him, he just can't accept it yet" through the livestream. That's quite an unhealthy obsession and may even result to libel. It kinda has the same vibes with outing someone.
