Run On is also one of my favorite dramas, so to answer your second question, I would say that the vibe isn’t…
I've watched 2 eps already and I can already tell the vibes are super different hahaha. You're definitely right. Run On was quite mellow and relaxing, and even though this might not be like that I hope we get another good show like that soon :) Thanks for the response!
Can someone tell me if there's a feel that they'll end up together? I have been struggling with not watching it until it's done and i don't think I'll make it through this weekend but I really want a happy ending where they end together :)
On another note, if you've watched Run On can you tell me if they're smilar in term of the overall vibe? Run On is one of my all time favorite dramas and I would love to watch something that makes me feel like Run On did :)
The fact that they made 2nd male lead fall in love with 1st female lead was burdensome af.My favorite couple was…
Tbh i just saw him as falling for the first person who showed him kindness and made him feel cared for in a long time. It was her, but could've probably been anyone else. And I really enjoyed how the FL never felt that way towards him and was very obvious she didn't, she was always only friendly towards him without any other intentions.
I actually watched this movie weeks ago and I have literally been unable to stop thinking about it. It instantly became one of my favorite movies, the acting is incredibly immersive and I could start listing everything else that is amazing but that's just the entire movie. It's beautiful in every way possible
Because BDSM is for adults, that's probably why. I doubt there will be anything actually explicit
Bondage (and Discipline), Dominance (and Submission), Sadism and Masochism. It's an umbrella acronym for a lot of different sexual practices that involve someone taking a dominant role and other(s) taking the submissive role like the ones in the teaser, which was bondage.
I am cautiously optimistic about this! I definitely think that a bdsm story can be done with comedy while still being respectful towards bdsm (Netflix already has a show that does this called Bonding that ran for 2 seasons, season 2 being infinitely superior) but I do fear they will take the route of making the male character the butt of the joke because he's submissive and that is somehow 'emasculating'. Fingers crossed that won't be the case and that will be good!
Wanted this to be a drama, but still movie is what we get. And as long as they stick to manhwa and make it a movie…
Can you spoil me if there's ever a role reversal where he stops being the submissive or something like that? It's a huge pet peeve of mine with this kind of stories and I really want their roles to stay the same through the whole thing :(
I enjoyed the show overall, but boy do I have issues with *that* Ho Sung storyline. I'll follow up in the comments…
I have no problem with a teen pregnancy subplot, it's not uncommon and I'm okay with them showing it happens. I do however have a problem with the way it was handled. If you have a show that can't even bring itself to talk openly using the right words about the fact that Ho Sung was having sex (and unprotected at that) with his previous girlfriend, the storyline will fall flat. You can't present a teen pregnancy plot and not follow up with at least SOME information on the right ways to prevent teen pregnancy when your show is aimed at teenagers. Otherwise it just feels like another case of "don't have sex until you're 30 because you will get pregnant and ruin your entire life". Which, now that I am writing this, feel might have been the case. I don't know for a fact it was their intention, but the way they presented this story looked like a cautionary tale about not having sex at all instead of talking about safe sex, which quite frankly really sucks in 2021.
Anyways, I really felt they dropped the ball with that one, especially because otherwise I considered the drama to be pretty okay and enjoyable.
For some reason it's being released later in my country but I'm ok cause I am waiting to see if it has a happy ending 😂 I have super high hopes for this drama and I will be so sad if I watch and it doesn't
For me, he is on the list of actors whose dramas and films I will never watch. Nice celebrity personalities are…
Your entire point of view is based on your personal views on abortion. If you disagree with it that is entirely up to you but abortion is common and should not be stigmatized. They were two people in a relationship discussing their options and it was none of our business. And no. They should not be pure saints just because they are celebrities, we don't own their existence nor we are owed it. And again, your definition of decency seems to be very personal and conservative. I sincerely hope you're just young and that's why you think this way.
At the very start I was pleasantly surprised that they finally showed that the kind of stalker, obsessive, won't-take-no-for-an-answer attractive guy was actually a bad person, because every single thing that guy did was a huge red flag. But in the end they suddenly said "NOPE HE'S ACTUALLY A GOOD PERSON EVERYTHING HE DID HE DID TO PROTECT HER BECAUSE HE LOVED HER". Fuck that, man
Also the mix of genres did not work at all, i get what they wanted to do but it did not look good
I've said it before and I'll say it again: good boy Kim Seon Ho is the best Kim Seon Ho! His characters here and in You Drive me Crazy are my absolute favorites of his-- fingers crossed he has more roles like these in the future!
