Can i ask???What the reason you like this drama?? The ratings is 8.4 by viewer, usually meaning that a good drama.Actually…
It's 100% a matter of personal taste. You either you like it or you don't like it, and from what I've been saying ever since it aired, the reasons why people like it are the same reasons why others dislike it. The main plot IS simply people living their lives, and that's what I love the most about it! It's kinda difficult to put into words why we like it, because if you don't like it or it didn't click with you by now, whatever explanation we give will be pretty useless and mean nothing to you. Also, even though some slice of life, slow burn dramas can be similar to others, it doesn't mean that because you like the genre you'll like everything done in that genre! I love horror movies but I definitely don't love every horror movie that comes out just because of its genre.

Believe me, if you didn't like it by let's say ep 5 (being very generous), you won't like it at all. I was hooked by episode one already and it continued until the finale. There's nothing wrong with you for not getting into it and there isn't anything special you're not seeing that those of us who like it can see, it's just not your cup of tea. And that's okay!

Oh my GOD I will lose my shit if this is true. I hope it is!!!

Don't worry if you haven't watched the other movies-- I'd recommend watching Cap Marvel 1 ahead but if you wanna know about everything else I'm sure there are looots of youtube videos who cover the gist of the MCU without you having to watch anything. And even then, except for the last Avengers movies each storyline tends go be pretty self contained and enjoyable even if you haven't watched everything else. You'll just miss out on some easter eggs here and there :)

This drama is one of my all-time favorites. What people who didn't like it call boring about it, is precisely what I loved the most about it. I love the conversations and the storylines centered in their daily lives. I think it's hard to tell a 16-episode story like this and do it WELL, and in this case it was done perfectly. I think it was a very good call to have the "actual" romance angst of the story be between the second leads instead of the main leads, because our leads were such a good fit for each other that I don't think it would've worked as a plot to have them not end up together or have TOO much drama before actually getting together. And honestly even with the angst between the second leads, it was done in the most understandable way I've ever seen. No misunderstandings or lies, just bad timing and they both know it and accept it. And I loved the open ending that 100% suggests they'll give it another go eventually.

I also love, love, LOVE the fact that our male lead, second lead and supporting actors are SO nice! Toxic masculinity not found in these boys, they're all the sweetest.

I personally fully understand why a lot of people find this drama boring and why they don't like it, but I feel like it's not the same the other way around hahaha. I've seen a lot of people who didn't enjoy the drama have an attitude of "no, you're wrong, this drama is actually boring as hell and it sucks" which is just not true haha. It's just not everyone's cup of tea and that's fine.

My favorite side characters were definitely Woo Shik and Tae Woong. I wanted to wrap those boys in a fluffy blanket and protect them from everything bad in the world. So precious, both of them! Especially Woo Shik.

Also, I binged it on the first watch and on a rewatch with no problem. I see why some people may think it's better to pace yourself, but I disagree hahaha. I couldn't stop watching once I started!

Thanks for the article! It was so good to read.

what do you not understand, i might be able to help :)
Not gonna lie i figured it was meant to be taken as his "heaven" or "afterlife" not as something happening in real life. That bright glow the scene had is what made me immediately assume that

Unless this will be majorly different from the webtoon, reading the comments I am afraid many people will be disappointed,…
Can you spoil me the ending of the love triangle/when it ends? I hate that subplot haha

Okay, maybe a lot of people may not like this drama since it doesn’t really have a specific plot which may annoy…
Completely agree! I feel like the things those of us who liked this drama enjoyed are the same things the people who disliked the drama did not enjoy. I think that if you think it's boring when you start watching and the feeling doesn't go away after the first few episodes chances are you won't like it at all. I made my mom watch it when I was rewatching it and she found it super boring hahaha she couldn't focus on the plot at all and felt it was a waste of time. I loved every second of it, even more so on a rewatch! Like I said in a previous comment, this drama either clicks with you or it doesn't. For me, it's now one of my all time favorites :)

If only they'd made them the same age in the drama like they are in real life!
hahaha very true, but I didn't mean it like that I meant it in the sense that I don't ship them personally because of their in-universe age differente :)

Not me forgetting that Bae In Hyuk was the male lead in XX, and I loved that drama! For those who like him in this but would rather see him play a sweet, nice character instead go watch it!

Cha Joo Ik is toxic. Lee Hyun Gyu is boneless. Let's ship Na Ji Na with Tak Seon Kyung! XD

yeah it was harassment tbh. Before this ep, I thought she asked him to kiss her and he did it out of pity. sadly…
That is such a good video!! Thank you for the rec. I started watching kdramas when I was at an age where I can identify signs of toxicity easily, and if I like the drama enough I am able to acknowledge them and continue watching if they only happen once in a while, but if they're the basis of the main male lead I'll drop the drama cause I just can't stomach it. I suppose there's a reason that according to my MDL stats the tag that appears the most in all my watched dramas is "nice male lead" lmaoo. Jokes aside, the truth is that when I was 13 I was a huuuge Twilight fan and I was certain Edward was a dreamboat instead of realizing how controlling and abusive he actually is-- and I am kinda worried about younger audiences watching kdramas who think that in real life the guy who treats you like shit has a secret soft side he'll only show you and you'll get through him, when in real life girls who date guys that are like MLs from dramas like Boys Over Flowers more often than not end up being killed by their boyfriends. Since it's dramaland we can pretend those warning signs lead nowhere and in the end and everything is happy ever after because they do what the script says, but in real life it's not like that at all.

I totally agree with you! They’re both inadequate for her. But for me Jo Ik is the worst. He kissed her while…
Yeah man I still don't know what his goddamn deal is, cause his character seems to be a calm, collected and straightforward person but this seems shady as hell

I also thought she might've implied she was ok with it somehow, but she didn't even say something like just wanting to get her first kiss with anyone to get it over with, she was crying that she didn't kiss WITH HYUN GYU! It was gross, really.

And yeah, it's super sad how common harrassment and assault are and how are portrayed as romantic gestures.

Kang Tae Oh bby i love you so much but GOD, HYUN GYU TRULY IS A DUMBASS. I was giving him the benefit of the dobut until we knew what had actually happed but he was truly an idiot. Ji Na was so into him that no matter how silly or embarrassing what he said would've been, she would've still supported him no matter what. Ugh, so dumb.

Joo Ik can go fuck himself as well though. There was literally no need for him to kiss her when she was in such a vulnerable state, and WITHOUT CONSENT AT THAT! And to make it worse, he said it was because he pitied her and hated her for it. Fucked up. And also, did she even know who the hell he was??????? IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE SHE DID SO A TOTAL STRANGER KISSED HER OUT OF THE BLUE??

Not rooting for either of them for now, Ji Na deserves sooo much better!

LHK never went abroad, he lied to her to broke up with her just like he pretend to others being a wealthy fine…
That's a way of seeing it I hadn't considered! If he develops feelings in the future I do see myself shipping them. I totally agree he seems like a super straightforward person that's why I think it would make him a hypocritr if he's liked Ji Na all this time. But if he hasn't and he develops feelings when he actually gets to know her I see myself much more willing to get behind it for sure!
