LHK never went abroad, he lied to her to broke up with her just like he pretend to others being a wealthy fine…
I don't ship her with Hyun Gyu either! Not for now at least because I really have no reasons to. And the reason why I said he's a hypocrite is not the bad food drama, is the fact that he's cold as he to Ji Na and keeps treating her like she's stupid for still being hung up on her first love when-- if he IS into her-- he just treats her like shit without confessing that he likes her.
What Joo Ik is doing is not "taking care of her". Saying that he hated her because he pitied her and that's why he kissed her is not takimg care of her. Coldly telling her that her writing is shit instead of doing so in a constructive manner while he secretly likes her chapters and comments on them isn't taking care of her. That's why I think he's a hypocrite. He expects her to move on and (presumably) pick him instead but he's giving her no reasons to choose him over her first love
The leads' chemistry is really, really good. It's natural and unforced, and they sell the trust and affection…
What I really like about meeting you and the dynamic between Nan Xi and Xia Rui is that they truly compliment each other 100%. And the show does a good job at showing how Xia Rui's social skills are as important to Nan Xi as his academic skills are for her. It's not "Nan Xi is better than her because he's smart" it's "they make each other better by helping with what the other is lacking." I think the writers did a good job giving equal importance to each of their skills.
Cha Joo Ik annoys me. I don't know if they'll do a twist and it will turn out that he's not really interested in Ji Na-- but if they go the route of him actually liking her he's a goddamn hypocrite. He acts like Ji Na is the immature one yet he acts cold and uncaring towards her when he likes her, it's so annoying.
It seems that he's the one who gave Hyun Gyu bad food which led him to fail his exams and needing to go abroad-- and if he did it on purpose to sabotage his relationship with Ji Na I will find a way to go inside my screen and slap him myself.
I really don't see myself shipping him with Ji Na if he's actually into her, and it will be purely because of his hipocrisy.
As someone who grew up reading Wattpad stories, bad guys turning sweet for FL dramas are a killer for me. However…
I love love LOVE a good "cold guy turns into a sweetheart for the woman he loves" story (like Healer, Tale of the Nine Tailed and Hyena to name a few), but the moment a guy pesters a girl after she rejects him multiple times and makes it clear she's not interested until she "caves in" because it's the only way he'll stop I'm out. I hate that type of motivation and I cannot get behind it
to put it in maybe simpler terms, i love enemies to lovers stories, i hate bully&bullied to lovers stories. Sun Woo might not be "bullying" her per se but he IS an asshole as we've been explicitly shown lmao
Does anyone else think that Choi Woo Seong (Dan's brother) looks like a mix of Shownu and Joohoney from Monsta X? I noticed it when I first watched It's Okay To Not Be Okay but now that I've also seen him here and in Sell Your Haunted House I can't stop thinking about it
Sun Woo annoys the everloving shit out of me. I hate the trope of a dude who's a womanizer and becomes interested in a girl the moment he sees her as a challenge because she doesn't instantly fall to her knees in front of him-- and in doing so he completely disregards how she rejects him and continues to do whatever he wants no matter how many times she says no. I doubt I'll get SLS with him, especially since Woo Yeo is a dreamboat, the sweetest fox in the world, and I adore him.
I feel like-- just as it happened when the final episode aired-- a lot of people feel conflicted if they don't like this drama because those of us who loved it love it very strongly. I just wanted to say that if you didn't like it or if you find it boring, there's nothing wrong with you! These past few months have made me confirm that this drama either clicks with you or it doesn't, and you shouldn't try to force yourself to love it if you feel you don't enjoy it just cause a lot of us have praised it so much. If it's not your cup of tea, it just isn't. Don't worry about it, drop it and move on. No harm done :)
does anyone know what happened to the FL dad? bc if im not mistaken the dad figure is like her step dad? why is…
Her dad died when she was young, mom remarried and her cute lil bro is her half-brother on her mom's side. Her relationship with her mom isn't 'bad' per se, but her mom is kind of overbearing when it comes to schoolwork and she finds it more comfortable to stay with her grandparents.
I was waiting for the second batch of episodes to be uploaded to Viki so I'd have more to binge at once, and I just started today (I'm on ep 2 right now) and god, I AM MELTING. This is infinitely better on a rewatch, it's so much sweeter and more endearing to see Xia Rui and Nan Xi interacting now that I've already seen it all. I love this drama SO MUCH! Definitely one of my favorites ever
If I'm correct, she's suffering for redemption of the world. It was a strange concept.
Isn't suffering for redemption of the world Jesus' whole thing though (this isn't rethorical i'm not religious and my knowledge of jesus is limited lmao)

I love love love supernatural-being-falls-for-human stories and I don't mind how many times they use the Gumiho myth I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR IT
