I didn't see anything to hype about and people say that this is their favourite drama like how? The drama is quite…
i agree, i really can't get over how they normalized homophobia in this series. they either treated it as a joke or something romantic. and, of course, there's the line that will forever scar me: "i don't like men, i just like p'arthit"
Ok, so, I just saw ep 1 and.... I really do not like how they treat women here. Nor how they treat mothers versus…
oh no...i was looking forward to watching this but toxic masc and treating women like plot devices is always a big no-no for me. is it so bad that i should avoid this show or is it more of a small annoyance?
The director actually toned this down from how it was in the manwha, where Taesung actually pressed multiple kisses…
You're quite funny, ignorant white person! I'm so confused why you're being rude right now when I was just stating my perspective as an Indian, AS AN ACTUAL ASIAN. Since you clearly seem to think you're an expert on what every single Asian thinks! So I'll be rude in turn. Using your elementary level deductive reasoning, you're a white person that thinks they know everything about the world. So I do, in fact, know how to apply it, or at least your broken version, but thanks for asking! What's funny is that you didn't even say "MOST Asians don't have a problem with it," you had the audacity (or should I say, the "caucacity") to ignore what I said and say that ALL Asians, all 4.5 billion people, are cool with it. That's not proper deductive reasoning, that's childishness and an assumption that the world is black and white. Even if it was a huge hit in China, why would you generalize this positive response to all Asians? Does China represent all of Asia to you?
"Mangas and Manwhas also typically include scenes of sexual aggression and are hugely popular in South East Asia. If you apply deductive reasoning, it's pretty simple to conclude that Asians have no problem with this." I'm laughing my ass off right now. Read it out loud to yourself and you'll surely laugh too. Does South East Asia also represent all of Asia to you? It's not deductive reasoning, it's you making a hasty generalization and looking at one part of Asia and thinking 'hmmmm. I bet all of Asia feels the same!' It's you not knowing what Asia even is, how many countries are in it, and how it's more than just Southeast Asia. I know you aren't Asian, but I am. I have a problem with it. Many other South Asians, Central Asians, East Asians, Western Asians, and even some Southeast Asians have a problem with it. India especially has over a BILLION people so don't even try to group us into your baseless claims about every Asian. Deductive reasoning has to do with making a specific conclusion, which you made on the basis of no evidence-backed ideas. You probably didn't like how I concluded that you were white based off your comment, right? Well, it's the same thing. I don't like your conclusion either since Asians are not a monolith (I'll give you some time to search up that word). But you seem to think that ALL 4.5 billion people think the same because of a trend in SOUTH EAST ASIA. You do know that the real world doesn't work like that, don't you?
Oops, based on your comment above it seems that you do not! So I shall cease responding to your non-Asian, 15-year-old ass. :)

i probably wouldn’t generalize all of asia. saying “the asians” encompasses over 4.5 billion people and they definitely don’t all have the same view on consent, though i will admit that there are quite a few that don’t emphasize consent much. india has a huge problem with SA and domestic abuse, so things like forcing yourself onto someone in a movie or drama is becoming less common here in india since people want to get rid of rape culture to save the little girls that are always falling victim to it. so i really would appreciate it if you refrain from saying things like “asians have no problem with it” when to many of us, scenes like those from Addicted are disturbing and remind of us how scared we are for our daughters’ and sisters’ safety. a lot of asian countries like india are trying to change this (meaning we want to show more consent in media) since even small things like movies contribute to a greater rape culture in our country. at least in my country and other neighboring asian countries, this problem is greater than just a cultural difference like you said and has more to do with us having greater rates of SA, femicide, and domestic violence, as well as lower rates of sex ed. anyway, this was just something small i wanted to bring up to you. i mean no offense.
Finished reading the webtoon and I absolutely loved it! But I don't think they will be able to incorporate all…
given that they started filming last may, i don't think some of the webtoon was even released yet for them to film. but i'm still excited however they adapt the webtoon!
didn't krist say he wouldn't act in another BL? well, let's hope he changed his mind because he truly wanted to and not because he just needs the promo, given the rather controversial stuff he's said in the past...anyway, i'm wishing the best for this drama, but i can't say for sure if i'll be tuning in or not. it'll probably air next year anyway.
