No need for confusion. FL only saw the doctor as a friend with whom she can confide in. She could not talk about her daughter's death with anyone else, not even ML. So ML found the doctor so that she can walk out of her grief. Pity though, the doctor has no ethics and fell in love with his patient who is married and had kids. When he confessed his feelings for her, she flatly refused him, saying that she will not continue their sessions if he is bent on pursuing her. The doctor agreed to back off, but he actually didn't and almost took advantage of her in one of her weak moments during their sessions.

Yup, they did the picnic in the first extra chapter. Forgot about it.

Novel's main story ends when ML is still in his early 30s and FL is still in her mid to late 20s.
The extra chapters, there are 7 of them, explore our leads having kids (first time pregnant, they have a son. second time, twins, again sons), going though a miscarriage (losing a much awaited daughter), moving on from it, to living to the old age when they die. I think it makes sense to show them dying. It brings a closure to Han Ting's declaration, which is also my favorite line of the entire novel, "The love I believe in probably lasts until the end of life. When I look back, I will have a definitive conclusion."
All I will say is, I am always a crying mess whenever I read the last extra chapter. And I am someone who rarely cries reading fiction.

Gao Han's character is a sweet character, at least in the novel. I hope they adapt his character to the same effect,

Picnic and cats were added I guess. Generally, when a drama is adaptating from a novel, they only adapt the main story and ignore the extras.

That is good. I most want to see the final extra chapter to be adapted. I think it brings a beautiful and touching closure to the declaration Han Ting made.

She was not having an affair, it was the doctor who forgot his ethics and was taking advantage of his patient's vulnerability in grief. But I don't think they will show that.

I hope they can show until the end of their lives as it is in the extra chapters and not stop at main story.

You do know that if you put the drama in "plan to watch", it is considered as a "watcher". I guess, I should've used the term "currently watching watchers" (no idea if it includes dropped and on-hold watchers) in my comment. 44.5% of them have rated it. So, yes.

Ep 29 & 30 for VIP users. VIP users will have to pay extra to access Ep 31 to 36 tomorrow. Or they can wait until the 13th to access all episodes without having to pay extra.

I just checked on Viki, the subs for all episodes are all excellent now. If anyone wants to rewatch the drama, Viki is good to go.
