I just checked; I guess you found the MTL copy? The translation group had only translated up to 118 chapters out of 240-ish chapters until now. They've been translating this novel since 2019, and they are taking their sweet time.

Given the current situation, I also agree with you. After Best Choice Ever and ABAY, Xu Kai's next drama, Moonlit Reunion (which he is filming now), will probably take more than a year to air. So, given that Best Choice Ever is going to air soon, it's better if ABAY airs in July (my birthday month, and also the month which greatly favored Xu Kai as both ALP and FIYS were released in July).

Unfortunately, I haven't read the novel, yet. I've been wanting to, but I wanted to wait until the translation is complete (which might take forever) before reading it.
I've read a few other novels from this author, and I love them. In fact, the first Chinese novel I ever read was from this author, 'The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage'. And the reason I started reading it was because someone said that Xu Kai was born to play Xie Jing Xing, the ML of Malicious Empress (after reading the novel, I have to say that I agree with them). And from there, my journey into the Chinese novel land began.
My personal favorite novel from the author was 'The Rebirth of an Ill-Fated Consort'.

This is something traffic stars can only dream of. Xu Kai is deemed underrated because he is not a traffic star, despite that, his dramas get a lot of views, both on streaming platforms and tv.

AIDS campaign didn't stick, so they are resorting to other means now. Pathetic.

Looks like the rumours of one or both of Xu Kai's dramas airing soon are true. 🙃

I don't think they will clash. Both being modern dramas that have quite a few similarities, at least in the source material. I haven't read the novel of Xu Kai-Yang Zi drama, but I did come across a few spoilers from that novel and there are a few similarities that people might use to compare if they air together.

Great, now it looks like Xu Kai's drama with Yang Zi might be released before this one. Should've released this drama together with SAF.

More than the SML character (which I came to appreciate a bit more in my re-watch), what I did not like was the soulful ost playing in the background for his delulu "love". It put me off so much. Apart from that, I have no other complaints of this drama.

I understand and respect that you might not want to re-watch the drama, since everyone has different tastes, but in my re-watch, I saw a lot more layers and depth in FL character than I did in my first time watch.

The chemistry was on fire, at least for a lot of us who loved the drama, if you don't judge chemistry just based on how kiss scenes played out in final output. I'm saying "final output" because if you have watched BTS of some of the kiss scenes, you might find them hot. For some reason, they were edited badly, hence the final output.

I personally enjoyed the drama a lot more in my re-watch.

I wonder why there was a controversy regarding the billing then. The billing makes sense, and neither actors care about where they are placed.

I believe it was equal billing for that drama, correct me if I'm wrong. Both Yang Mi and Xu Kai echoed each other and said they don't care about first or second billing.

Yang Mi also came out and said she also doesn't care about 1st billing as long as the script is good enough or something like that.

Xu Kai's wig is brilliant in this one as compared to his other costume dramas wigs.
