I like the old link better. The new link is ABAY novel sandwiched between a page full of ads. Its only updating…
I have shifted to this new website so that the novel can have wider audience. The ads support the website to run. The novel should be almost near the end of the drama were to release on July 2nd as rumoured.
The old link to the translated novel is gone. I found the new link but it only contains 16 chapters. Do I have…
Hi, sorry for late response. No need to pay. I shifted the novel to this new website so that wider audience can read the novel and appreciate it. The website will be releasing 2 chapters per day. So even if the drama starts airing on July 2nd, we'd have reached almost at the end in the novel release.
You feel sad for a coward who put himself first and killed his wife who he promised to protect forever?! I hope…
Yeah, but he didn't have to bury his wife alive though. That's the fucked up part. So yeah, no sympathy for him from me. Imagine being his wife and he buries you alive to save himself and his family. Would you still be sympathetic to his situation?
It's me, the one who translated 'As Beautiful As Beijing' novel, which this drama is adapted from.
I just want to inform you guys that most of the novels I have translated are moving to another site, which has a larger audience, soon. It should be in a few weeks time.
When that happens, I will notify you guys with the updated link to read 'As Beautiful As Beijing'.
I honestly don't get why people are mad about the last three episodes? I absolutely loved them. Not sure of the PR team or whatnot, some of the cast members have been saying that this is mainly a mother-daughter story. From the very first episode, I was very clear on this and jumped into it, even though it is not my kind of drama -- just because Xu Kai was in it.
I honestly have no complaints that Xu Kai's role is very less compared to Mai mama or other Mai family members. But he had his moments to shine. In fact, although I started the drama for Xu Kai, I continued watching the drama for the characters.
Yang Zi -- this is first modern drama character of hers I liked. I wasn't fond of her cute and bubbly characters before, and honestly, I didn't find her to my liking in those dramas (especially Go Go Squid). Here, with the mature look and mature character, I think it is perfectly suited for her. She should do more of these characters.
He Sai Fei -- I don't believe I have watched any dramas featuring her. But she is the best in the acting department in this drama. She brought out these emotions in me; anger, frustration, pity, and sadness to the point of bawling my eyes out.
Episode 30: Do Chinese people really have such a weak system. More times that I can count, people always get sick…
I am also really curious about this. I have read a few c-dramas and novels, and some of them make it seem like just walking bare feet on the floor can get you cold.
I have also noticed in this drama when MCH was breaking up with her first boyfriend in the rain, she leaves her umbrella to him and walks off in the rain. She was already a bit wet at this point, but she didn't get any wetter by walking in the rain. It seems Yang Zi was sheltered from it off screen, possibly to avoid getting cold. All this makes me wonder, are they really that scared of cold?
I also like that YZM's assistant is treated with respect in this drama. C-dramas (even novels) often portray CEO ML's assistants as some kind of third-class citizens who will have to follow their boss' unreasonable demands at unreasonable hours. It is good to see that, in this drama, YZM has first found his assistant to share the good news of his promotion and celebrate with him.
Marcus Here on YouTube declares 'Best Choice Ever' as the top TV drama for the last week. He also explained why…
I also peeked at the comments section under the video, and it seems everyone is liking Best Choice Ever. Makes one wonder, why are ratings so low MDL? It also proves the fact that how unreliable MDL ratings are nowadays. Before, I used to rely on them to judge how good a drama is before jumping in. Nowadays, despite a drama having 8.7 or 8.8 rating, I had to scroll down to see the comments under the drama page to find what the actual audience feel about the drama before deciding if I should watch it.
Marcus Here on YouTube declares 'Best Choice Ever' as the top TV drama for the last week. He also explained why the drama only came at No. 6 the previous week despite it dominating the TV charts, and it makes sense.
Not so sure about the custody, since I haven't watched the episode yet, but to take her child away from her child's…
Just watched the episode, and I still stand to to my opinion. What Jungshooky commented below explains my stance on this.
Child's pov is already being manipulated by the ex-husband, he's the one to be blamed in this situation, not the her. And no, she hasn't abandoned her child. she did not fight for the main custody, probably because she couldn't fight him, and also in the hope that the child would live better with the father. And now, with the ex-husband manipulating the child into thinking that his mother doesn't love him anymore, the situation changed.

Much later in the novel, her brother is rescued by the ML.

Overall, 10/10, for me.

I only see CCTV announcing it, no info on Tencent's Fast Pass.
