It's funny. We see MLs, who are cunning and see the bigger picture, be ruthless to those he loves and cares for -- we call him a ruthless jerk who doesn't care about how he is hurting his loved ones.
And now, we see a ML, who is also cunning and sees the bigger picture but is not ruthless. He cares for his loved ones and even expresses it without any reservations. He doesn't like to put his loved ones at risk or danger, even when the stakes are high. Yet, we call him a simp for it.
Ah, MLs really have it hard -- Despised for not caring. Despised for caring too much.

I don't think he is being a simp. Yes, he is caring for Cui Lin. But he is also making his moves. I don't think Cui Lin's little tricks this time will work.

This author, I did not expect her to write such a sweetheart of a ML this time. If you look at her other works that were adapted into dramas, almost all of them had MLs that were jerks.

I understand what you are feeling, and I felt the same while watching the episode.
However, after pondering over it, I realized Cui Lin was reacting as she should.

The fake Cui Lin is obviously someone close to her since her childhood... like a real brother she grew up with. His reasons, too, on surface, look upright (we know he's not from Ep 22 teaser). As if he was really concerned about their plans. Cui Lin obviously could not refute that. But she was clear on one thing; the way Cui army acted was not morally right.
Anyhow, coming to the point; seeing how this fake Cui Lin, who was like a brother to her, sacrifice himself to save her, she would obviously have grudges against Li Ni for not trying to save them earlier. One side was Li Ni, who watched as she and her army was attacked. A man she recently met and was starting to fall for him. A man who did not trust her. On the other side was her brother she grew up with since her childhood, sacrificing his life for her. I can understand why she would feel hurt and react that way.

I think WeTV did better marketing with WOL compared to Xu Kai's previous WeTV dramas. But it still is not comparable to Youku and Iqiyi level of marketing.

OMG!! Same!! That was my first Xu Kai drama. The moment I saw him, I knew I'll be his fan by the end of that show. And I did.

I know. They were here a couple of days ago to provoke us. And a few of us, including me, gave them an earful. Later that night, unsurprisingly, the ratings went down from 8.4 to 8.1. 😬

If they didn't so passionately down rate the drama, we could be comfortably sitting at a 9 or something, if you ask me.

Haters try their best to bring the ratings down, but the ratings continue to climb back up.

I really want Xu Kai to do more dramas with Youku and Iqiyi. Apart from better scripts, better promotions (especially so in the case of Youku), I can also subscribe to their VIP membership in my country.

It's funny though, most of Chinese websites and apps are banned in my country, yet somehow Youku and Iqiyi managed have their apps up and running... even their websites.

WeTV is Tencent's property, and our country banned everything related to Tencent, including PUBG. We can still access WeTV, but no access to pay for VIP memberships. WeTV app is also not available to download officially.
So, I've been subscribing to Viki, because it is buying the rights to most of the WeTV dramas. So, I have no choice but to stick with Viki for now.
And oh, Viki has better subs, even though they take their sweet time.
Btw, I noticed the copyright problem with Here We Meet Again on WeTV official YouTube. This is another way to watch WeTV dramas in my country. Wait for a few months and WeTV will upload all the episodes on WeTV official YouTube channel. Here We Meet Again was not available on Viki in our region for some reason. So I waited for a few months and watched it on YouTube. First couple of episodes had good subs. Then the next few episodes had horrible mtl subs, I think for 5-6 episodes? After that it got better. There were also a few scenes with OSTs that were muted. I also noticed this issue with You Are My Glory episodes on WeTV official YouTube channel.

Are YouTube episodes not copyright striking any audio from the drama? They tend to do that a lot with Chinese dramas on YouTube. Even WeTV dramas that are officially posted on WeTV YouTube channel (a few months after drama airing) are released with bad audio insertions or mutings because of the copyright.

He's not an emperor yet in this scene, that much is clear in her addressing ML. I think he's the Crown Prince.

Again, if you feel you are being attacked when we say haters are rating the drama as bad, that's your problem, isn't it? We never called you out in it. We also never said all who rated bad are haters. So, ask yourself, why did you feel attacked by it., or don't. Your wish.

Incels cry that they have rights, that they speak whatever they want. Yet, they also cry if we say we also have rights and can refute them however we want. Funny how these 'rights' only apply to them when it fits.

I, and a few others, have explained in details, even giving out novel spoilers, that ML knows what he is doing. But delusional incels are delusional incels. Can't see reason.
