Dramas tend to try out different looks and styles even during shooting. Hwarang (KDrama) had 2 different hair styles constantly changed on the ML over and over. When he was asked , he said they couldn't decide which hair style looked best on him. I don't think the hair style matters that much really. Do love the beautiful outfits he gets though.

The episodes are getting better and better. Omg. Episode 21 was wow!!! Episode 22 did slow down a bit but was still really good too. So much was revealed in Episode 21 and that cliffhanger, I think we were about to see the face changer.

I am seriously lacking sleep these past two days 😂 but I can't wait.

Episode 19 and 20 were too good and they felt way too short.

It makes me wonder why in the beginning even the ML said "Are You even my Brother? "when they quickly betrayed him to their father and got him in deeper waters He has just jumped into the story. The sister was the only one trying to help him and she did come to his rescue in the fight in the beginning too.

I thought it was his goofy and emotional side his real self and his other serious side his acting and his attempt to act like the real XQS. Because the scene with the mojito and other scenes remind me of the personality he showed in his real life. The knife scene was a perfect example too where he asked for a needle and asked himself if the blade wasn't rusted. And when he sees other characters that aren't his friends he either acts a bit more serious, rude if he doesn't like them or himself if he's alone with them like with the four fools. Also I think the emotions get to him and it overloads him and he acts out very emotional with his family and scenes that deal with people he cares about. Especially if it is scenes where he feels deeply guilty and that he is responsible for it like when he was alone in the sword room even hitting his head.

But in the beginning they showed him fighting and defeating the boss. I think the lines he wrote mimic his real life on how lonely he feels without his mother. And yes the system did tell him that he had to experience growth naturally and through pain, struggles and no cheats to understand the proper hero way.

I think this was meant as the original script from what XQS rewrote where he had his friend give him his internal energy. But also it could have been just lazy writing from the original since they were going to die right after. Usually when someone does something out of the ordinary or common sense it is a loop hole in the writing or hints at something, like a death. But it could also be that they were the both strongest of the bunch and with them out the bad guys were going to win and kill everyone so they took a chance and shared some of their energy with our ML. They also gave him a fighting chance since he would have just run to his death otherwise.

Omg thanks for the explanation. I thought their fight scene was inside the locked place his parents were in since there were also houses in that place. It made me wonder how they all got in if he had the key.

Like in the fight scene against the Gold something bank that his friends attacked. in the beginning He freaked out when he saw the blood and it was real to him, he even thought he had been cut. He then freaked out again when he killed the first baddy by the lake\river. I think he gets caught up with the scenes and then breaks down in certain instances and his emotions run wild.

I don't think it was his father but the original sect leader. It says the land was lent out for free for 100 years per the contract to help others build. After 100 years it was to be returned, that was my assumption that I got. That's why XQS said it wasn't right to ask for rent when it was originally lent out free.

Episode 27-28 if the calendar is correct, it shows both of them fighting. Can't wait.

Just started this series but can't help wonder if the first case his son was on, where the husband blames someone else, is a foreshadowing of sorts.

Did you watch his movie Devils? He played the villain and I think he did well. His acting was the only good thing of that movie. The movie as a whole was a disaster and the story was very B style movie. I just started watching this series so I can't say anything about his acting on here but I agree, he acts very well in everything he makes though it might not be that great of a role or project he picks.

He's mentioned several times that he wished he had read the story in more detail. I think he shimmed through a lot of it because even in his retelling at the beginning the boss looked very different and was even wearing a mask.
