This episode was infuriating they wasted an hour where nothing happened just to info dump for 5 minutes and that with the characters we can trust the least. The leads romance is as forced as ever it's getting unbearable at this point, like holy fuck just get on with the story.
Eultae is the only character along with Siho moving the story forward, the way they totally waste Siho's character is frustrating thank god she is one of the few characters with a braincell tho and finally got her sister to let her look into her past even tho we again got only the bare minimum of information. But why did Sangun want to look only to a certain point why not go all the way back it makes no sense, how much did the new information even help her to understand the whole picture?
At this point all I care about is Siho and Doyoon to be happy and to watch Lee Joon's amazing acting.
I absolutely loved season 1, didn't even notice that the writer changed after a certain point because i was just…
I have to agree on Hana, I get why they wanted to add the side of law enforcement but especially during the earlier episodes it seemed hard to justify why she was even in the story and even more so why she was the female lead as how little she affected the storyline. I agree the show could've worked without her.
If they really go for romance then Goeun is the obvious choice, they already have a beautiful bond that also fits so well with the tone of the show and the chemistry between the two is great. I always thought their scenes could've very well been taken as romantic so the transition to lovers would be believeable, the basis is there and it wouldn't require to take up much screen time
Just caught up with the drama. It isn’t perfect but it’s very enjoyable. The music and production values are…
I pretty much agree with most of your points (only I'm a bit harsher lol) especially about Gong Seungyeon leaving an impression despite her little screen time. I really hope they'll utilize her more in the remaining episodes because her character is actually interesting and her acting performance from the first episode is still one of my favorites, here is hoping they gave her more material towards the second half or else what a waste.
i’m in ep 5 and still struggling whether to continue watching or not. reason being, i found this drama with…
The pace pretty much remains the same throughout, keep in mind that it's a very character driven show with lots of emotions and interactions so you might maybe think the plot isn't moving forward at times but it's actually the point to observes these characters :)
I agree that I would love more tension. On the note that she rolled her ankle again, I'm not so opposed to that.…
That's basically how it goes for most of their "moments" they are wounded and stumble into each other, it is indeed lazy and one among several reasons their relationship feels inorganic.
I do think he holds love for her but this is not a good arguement for it. A lot of loveless marriages still produce…
Agree with everything you said. I'm just tired of people denying he loved her and trying to make it seem like they were just miserable together because that's clearly not the case if we look at how his memories are portrayed and the points you mentioned. If he really had no feelings for her then the show did a horrible job at portraying that.
Lee Joon is the saving grace of this show, they really poured all their writing talent into his character and barely left anything for the others, rest of the cast is still being terribly underused
Sangun just becomes more irritating with each episode, girl is so unbelievable I can't take her serious, she is the female lead yet the writing for her is the worst out of everyone and makes her really unappealing, don't even get me started on the romance they are trying to build up between her and Hwal, maybe I could've gotten over the lack of chemistry if they at least did a decent job with them it just kills me knowing the show had so much more potential than what it is but they're not using it
episode 9 was really great compared to the ones before, no one was really surprised about the Achan reveal but Eultae's backstory and who his father was is something I did not expect but I wish we would've gotten more backstory, Lee Joon keeps being amazing and stealing every scene he is in and Eultae keeps being the most interesting character to me
The moment between Hwal and Siho was really sweet and such a nice parallel to the first episode where they called each other monsters, I'm sure their exchange was how they felt back then too but just didn't express.
Either i m blind or people are focusing way too much on something that barely took up screentime. Bodies be dropping…
I feel like sometimes they don't know what to do with those characters I think most of them are too underutilized, the real tragedy however is having Lee Joon there giving a master class in acting but only getting like 5 minutes of screen time.
Also reversed cherry blossoms during their fight where they tell why they married each other meaning "lie". And…
I never expected it to happen either, I don't ship it, I'm more like "I could" totally ship it if they actually got more screen time together, narratively they have potential and the chemistry is there too. I just don't get why some people have such an issue and were hellbent on him not having loved her. If things were just left at episode one I might've got it even though during their fight I already felt like they might not be really truthful with their words. But then the show went on and we were shown memories of Hwal where he watches his wife and kid from a distance while smiling, the highly romanticised shots of happy Sol, Hwal crying in his car as he thinks of his family, the moment he met her again in the present which completely threw him off and his soft demeanour towards her. I think it also adds so much more depth to Hwal's character that it's not only guilt but also love especially since he was called an emotionless monster. I'm pretty sure it's not just a headcanon because that's what I got too, her children were the only thing she could love and get love in return from while she felt unloved by both her husband and father, not to forget during the backstory Sol had just lost her child and was at her worst.
tvN newly released official video about flowers meaning in this drama for HwalSol scenes has implied that they…
Also reversed cherry blossoms during their fight where they tell why they married each other meaning "lie". And we see a dandelion puff which means "happiness" be blown away after a shot of Sol's dead body indicating he lost his happiness that day, nice symbolism.
At least the argument that he didn't love her can die now. I thought it was obvious but people kept insisting he didn't.
Definitely not just you, I feel exactly the same. FL lead isn't really unlikeable but she isn't particularly likeable…
Yes it's killing me how they are dragging the story, I want them to get to the interesting parts already. They might turn out as lovers in their past life which too would be very predictable and boring. Idk why everything always has to be romance it's just so unnecessary. Also the fact that his previous wife (and most likely son) is right there and the way he looks at her makes it even more impossible to root for anything romantic between the leads, it just feels wrong and one can't ignore how much more chemistry those two display by just exchanging glances which makes the lack of chemistry between him and the fl even more evident to me. Sangun developing stockholm syndrome for Hwal is not very appealing either lol.
If they’re trying to make me like the FL, idk, I don’t think it’s working. The actress feels a little awkward…
Definitely not just you, I feel exactly the same. FL lead isn't really unlikeable but she isn't particularly likeable either to me so I'm not really invested in her. Regarding the romance viewers seems to be divided either thinking their chemistry is great or terrible, I belong to the latter too, I just don't see it and it feels forced to me, the lore and everything surrounding it is so much more interesting I wish they would focus on it more too.
Debatable, dude was so shaken up the first time he saw her again that he literally drove himself into a river…
I mean considering how vivid his memories still are idk about moving on lol but really it's hard to tell given how they are barely allowed to interact with each other. I wouldn't have minded some bromance between Hwal and Eultae either but since the show seems set on him being the big bad behind everything it's not likely at all lol.
