Do hyuk's cute running after he gave her the umbrella he is so charming but also awkward! and he remembered her birthday!!!! There's no way she is choosing PJE over him.... I just feel like he's a little too good for her
Things I didnt like The chemistry of the main leads is off. Half the show he doesn't seem interested in her. Something seems missing I only really felt their chemistry in the last episode. plus eoroshin didn't help either. It just made me feel like she is talking to her dad. lol! Plot- So many of the plot lines felt like a build up to something bigger but lead to nothing; like the hunger for her plot, the women killing fox ghost plot. Things I liked The female lead can stand up for herself. She is frank and not a pushover. She likes him but she is selfish enough to understand that she isn't going to just sacrifice herself for him without thinking about her family and friends. I liked the fact that it didn't have the born to be together concept/ destined to be together. The second couple are the cutest. I really liked the message that humanity makes you a human not some marble turning blue. Also Bae in hyuk is sooo handsome!! wish he had a better plot.
Why are you trying to look for a fight? Just put a spoiler tag and move on. I hardly think peoples definition of happy ending is him never returning as a human and her dying of cancer without seeing him ever again.
When you say happy ending it is implied that everyone is happy in the end and for everyone to be happy in the end it would imply that he comes back to life and they live happily ever after

LOL! I had a very similar review , though I kind of liked the show till the 14th episode (guilty! whoops!) but I so whole heartedly agree with what you said! I thought I was the only one who found the male lead hella toxic. Everyone's commenting on how the main leads have such a health relationship and I am just sitting here thinking 'did we seriously watch the same show'. Also the freaky fans! oh my god! What on earth even. *sigh*
I agree with almost all your points. I'd just call the first kiss not that problematic. Consent is not always…
OMG! It totally slipped my mind that she is in run on and SIMAAF! Even though I subconsciously knew she is in both. Its maybe because her roles are so drastically different in both. Absolutely loved her in run on, and ya the drama being from 2018 might be the reason for why it is what it is.

I know what you mean, I like the drama, though I still think the kissing scene is problematic. The first time he tries to kiss her could be considered persuasion but when she pushes him away and yet he goes and kisses her was hella dodgy they could have done better, this could be a panicky situation in real life. I know most of the scenes are a common thing in a lot of kdramas but I do believe they need to shift away from some of the misogynistic ideas of romance and most of the dramas in the last 2-3 years have proven how dramas are romantic without the toxic behavior, example run on, she would never know and many more. NGL it total is a guilty pleasure but it could do without some of the scenes.
I really love this drama, EXCEPT that fact that Sung Deok Sun and Choik Taek ended up together. I think the writers…
They had shown in the second episode itself that the husband is left handed. If they intended to make jung hwan the husband idk how on earth would they have justified the husband being left handed cause jung hwan was right handed and choi taek was left handed. It would have been a big loophole.
An absolute guilty pleasure... I strangely liked the drama because its a cliché done right, but there is so much wrong with this drama like The poster: The poster shouldn't exist in 2021. The second couple: JJ and In-hyung, they were consistently annoying through out the drama and both characters need therapy. I skipped most of their scenes. The fans: In the show they have shown that its ok to stalk your idol, forcefully enter their house or even kidnap them and there wont be any kind of consequences. The main lead: As viewers we need to understand that the kdrama romance may seem swoon worthy but the main leads some time do tend to be toxic, there were so many instances where I cringed at the main leads behavior like: their first kiss where he kisses her she pushes him away and yet he goes and kisses her again.. like consent flew right out of the window, When he shows displeasure for the clothes she was wearing for the advert, The constant dragging/manhandling of female lead, some of the texting habits were obsessive. Many of the viewers of such dramas do tend to be young girls who need to understand that such behavior may look romantic onscreen but can be abusive in real life.
In spite of all of this the main leads do have some really cute moments so if you want to watch a weirdly cute, fluffy, cheesy cliché... go grab your popcorn!
Edit: Just finished the last two episodes and they were just meh!

Underated drama 9/10
Overall 8.5-0.5(for the kinda cliche ending)+1(brownie point for the dog)
