I liked the last episode. It wasn't very dramatic. but because the show is so heavy that 12 episodes feel like a lot. There is zero comic relief or sub plot which removes your mind away from intensity of the show. They could have built up the relationship of the main leads a little more(not necessarily in a romantic way). It's also a constant task to remember who's on who's side. Overall if this was an 8 episode show, it would have been amazing.
I am just loving how the male leads in the newer dramas aren't misogynistic. Kim min jae is sooo cute in the drama. Also, thank god we have finally decided to drop the "couple gets separated in the second last episode just to be united in last episode" trope.
If you let me know what specifically you like and don't like, I can narrow down the list. You can also check out…
Hey! thanks I might actually check out some of these. I am not sure what I am actually looking for just something that's not cliche, repetitive (like air head female lead, jerk expressionless male lead), and downright sad.
Ok! but seriously is there any character development? Like will he show emotions anytime soon? Please change your expressions! please? Will she stop acting like his pet puppy? I mean she is supposed to be very smart, right? then why is she immature and child like? I am on episode 11 and all she has been doing is run behind him. Does the show get better? I think I am gonna drop!
I have seen this with alot of 2021 dramas. They are so highly rated on Mydramalist but the shows do not live upto the marking. Before a drama rated 8 or above was guaranteed to be good. I don't know if the reason is because I have seen too many dramas that I find many of the dramas repetitive and boring or if its because of the sudden influx in viewers, but dramas rated as high as 8.3, 8.4 (or higher) are downright boring. Same is the case with this show, I could not complete the show because of the lazy writing, and over used plots. The max anyone could rate it is 7.8. For me it was a graceful 6.
I think I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't so hyped. I mean its a decent rom com. Perfect for mid October weather, but over rated. It has some of the most cliche(annoying) tropes like destined to be together (childhood connection). They could have just ditched the love triangle and kept two separate couples. Also, what's with the 'oh the world's so small'? (everything is connected, everyone knows everyone somehow) bleh! What I liked was the overall chill vibe of the show and how beautiful everything looks (including the main leads). The second lead couple was very cute (cop and best friend). I really liked Shin min ahs acting except for some parts where she is speaks in overly high pitched cutesy voice. The entire supporting cast of the village did a great job! Its overall a cute one time watch show. 8/10 but + 0.5 for the feminist male lead! I have seen the shift since 2020. Dramas where main leads are finally not "romantic" in the I-am-gonna-possesses-you way. (good riddance from the possessive, control freaks)
Its a good drama, very entertaining. Ji sung definitely saves the drama. He has done a very good job at portraying a 'larger than life' character. He has amazing chemistry with all his co-stars, chae eun, min jung and ESPECIALLY with jin young. Other than ji sung, Min jung and jin young have also done a great job. I do feel like the plot is a little lacking and repetitive, ending feels somewhat absurd and rushed. Park gyu young doesn't add much to the drama they could have shown here and jin young being in a relationship from the beginning, would have been more impactful. Overall even if it has its flaws but it's very entertaining.
I read the comments and everyone said the ending was bad and doesn't potray a realistic relationship... But i…
Okay here's the thing, "he changed". That's the problem. The whole idea that a guy would change or eventually, he will fall in love with you is very unrealistic. The show not just gives false hope but also romanticizes guys like Jae eon. In reality guys like PJE will never fall in love with you. They'll give you mixed signals which will keep you hanging by the thread of one day he'll love me but the "one day" never comes and all you're left with is a broken heart and messed up mental health. Conclusion, because the writers made PJE fall in love with her and they made her chose him instead of choosing herself people are calling it bad. End rant! BYEEII!! <3
I am so confused about so many of the creative choices like I don't know why they had do hyuk in the show at all. by the end of the show it was annoying to watch him confess love to girl who he knows nothing about. I don't know why did they change the story so drastically? Why did they change a realistic, sensible story into unrealistic, non-sensical garbage. Even from when I saw the trailer (before I knew this was adapted from a manhwa) I was aware this was gonna be a realistic representation of modern relationships. Especially with song kang doing shows like sweet home, naviellera I was hoping for a mature story, but all we got was BS. I genuinely feel robbed.
Legit finished the episode in 5mins and now I'm laughing at the ending! Oh My God! I am speechless! What a train wreck. I genuinely though she was gonna end up alone. LMAO! Good lesson! They turned a player PJE from the webtoon into a guy who was always in love with na-bi! What a cliche! *claps* The comment section's gonna be more fun than the drama!
