In those dramas i watched previously, anyone who cross a royal in the harem, goodbye life via poisoning or a secret assassination which is ruled as suicide. At least these b.......ches just have sharp tongues!

The princesses are all entitled royals. They think so highly of themselves. LBY saw through them that's why he said that in all the capital and the world, NN is the best woman!

I just added her to my favorite list after ep 30. I love how she put people in their place especially that grandma Ruyang! Even her husband of 50 years is fed up with her. And the emperor, LOL .......he didn't know what to do. Good for Consort Yue!

Another favorite scene of mine. When they look into each other's eyes. Wow! It melts my heart and there are butterflies in my stomach! ZL and LW are really great actors! They were able to execute this scene so beautifully.

I'm not so sure but I think LBY will do something about this (don't know how he'll do this though) and it will upset the emperor. LBY will get punished by flogging and CSS will sort of come to his rescue. I read somewhere that this is part of the plan of the emperor to get CSS to realize her deep feelings for LBY. Not sure if this is that part. If not, my apologies! LOL ..... i get confused with so many stuff to read about this drama already.

ROFL ..... i like your analysis so much! I definitely agree that the 4th engagement is the charm and it's for love for sure! She fell in love with LBY during their engagement. It's just that she lost her trust when LBY acted on his own and carried out his vengeance without considering her. I do understand LBY's vendetta except that it was too brutal. The hate he kept in his heart for so many years pestered and needed release. Ahhhhh! The dynamic of their relationship is just too complicated!

Love his character, too.

I think CSS accepted not only for the sake of the empress but because there was a rumor also that LBY got engaged. Maybe CSS lost hope that LBY will come back for her so she chose to agree to the empress' last wish.

I hope they'll do a time skip. I don't think they will make the separation too long. The audience loves the main CP so much. They'll lose viewers if they do that, LOL!

I read somewhere she'll get engaged 4 times! LY, LBY, YS then LBY again. It's part of her character growth.

And CSS smile so cute when she finally realised that LBY has become so much a part of her life and how he's always there to protect her. Lusi really did a great job here!

I hated YS before but when I saw the ep where he asked his mother to find a match for him and his mother sort of ignored him and told him to choose on his own since he's old enough. Since then, I felt sorry for him. He's another unloved character in the story similar to our main CP. Except that his coping mechanism is the worst since he also had the worst teacher LOL! His teacher/master is CSS ex-fiance of 3rd aunt. Birds of the same feather flock together. Both master and student are indecisive and don't deserve the love of the women they fancy. So let's just grit our teeth for awhile since LBY will eventually win back CSS.

New characters were introduced since ep 28 is the beginning of part 2. I'm guessing you've watched ep 29-30 already so have an idea now of who Madam Wen Xiu is. She's another entitled bad apple who is the mother of Wang Lin. No wonder she's arrogant and a b....ch. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. LOL .....
