I get why people are so attached to Seo Jun since he is the typical second lead who is a sweetheart to the FL.…
This excuse again?
His intentions were "evil" is something i disagree with. When it comes to Jugyeong, the stuff he did at first were never that deep. Yes he first started getting all friendly to her for a few days because of getting revenge but he moved on quickly. He didn't care anymore, and Jugyeong was aware of that he was just playing with her to get back at Suho. . His families were close so then he actually started getting close with her sincerely. He then started getting actual feelings for her.
He treats Jugyeong as equally as Suho, what you want and care of is character developement, not what they initially were. Seojuns character development is fantastic.
Its not because Jugyeong and Suho are best for eachother because Suho has been sincere the whole time. Thats not the point. A love is not justified because u see someones face coincidentally and u start loving her first. A love is justified when both of the characters connect in the same level with their vulnerability and thats what Suho and Jugyeong was. They just connected better.
No one is saying that we want her to end up with Seojun (besides the usual minority) but he honestly does deserve to move on and just forget about it. Yeah he's the typical SML but that doesn't make this unnecessary dragging of a love triangle right. It's such an outdated trope from 2008 where right in the last episodes, something ridiculous happens and then everything gets rushed.
For me personally, everything would have been more interesting if seojun just moved on and showcased how he is happy with his career and suho and jugyeong talking it out and trying to start over again. But the way it was executed in this ep? No. its the second last episode, i personally find it VERY boring that this trope is used. i was skipping in this one.
i agree with your thought process here bc same, i thought that suho being all clingy and following her around…
idk, for me, following her to places and not leaving her alone the next day is just too much. i was able to get his clinginess in the other episodes because what he was going through was way worse, but coming back when she rejected to talk to u because she wanted space is something u need to respect. i would not like it if my ex, who broke up with me with a phone call, came back after all those years, only to expect me to be happy to see him? i'm not saying that don't expect a second chance, but expect her to not want to deal with u at this moment. he's forcing himself on her and that's not okay.
also what seojun is getting into is just so dragged.
besides, suho started making friends and he also has his father, he is obviously starting to heal.
"The consistent trope of Seojun approaching Jugyeong when she's unconscious, unaware, or drunk is also disturbing."…
i personally didnt find the sleeping scene wrong, i mean they were close friends and from my personal morals, its nothing wrong to get closer to put head on shoulder bcs u wanna tell someone to back off
i get ur point tho, i hope suho and jugyeong talk it out in the next episode so that they can all healthily move on.
she says that she didn't hear from him since last year, so it's been a year actually, I guess they changed the…
Its been more than a year. Jugyeong brother and his sister is getting into college now so if im doing my math correct, its either 2 or 3 years. She probably contacted him and asked how he was doing a year ago but then decided to let it go.
do i appreciate that suho followed jukyung around? no. but i feel like seojun is being idealized when he isn't…
"The consistent trope of Seojun approaching Jugyeong when she's unconscious, unaware, or drunk is also disturbing."
Sorry what? He just helped her get home. That's what people do in Korea. If you are talking about the "kiss" he lost control but then he was able to realize his mistake and stopped himself. So in no way is he trying to take advantage of her. Seojun was very caring to her as well, but she obviously connected with Suho more since he was the first one.
Also, no one is saying that Suho was not caring, he's obviously the best for her. But the execution done in this episode was poor. The girls trying to heal and move on but the way he is acting after coming back from korea is clearly wrong. I expected better, thats all. This love triangle is getting dragged.
Okay so it was going well at one point, i was like hm its not bad that people made it to be. Suho broke up with her for legitimate and logical reasons, he just wanted the relationship to not go into a burden. Though i do think they could have communicated better to end it. I think a a few minute call is left with lots of unexplained feelings. But i was still able to understand.. love, break ups, none of this is perfect in real life. Jugyeong experiencing pain and nostalgia is very reasonable, it was her first ever love that saw her face first, i was rooting for her because she's actually moving on and trying to accompany herself in her interests and spending more time with the ones who care for her.
Seojun confessing his love and actually trying to make a step since he's been bottling up his feelings for way too long is understandable. I mean look ...2 years, u see ur crush multiple times each week, u are sure that the girl u like and her first love broke up and probably won't get back together, and then even the parents are open to Jugyeong getting a new boyfriend.
It was all going good but then...
Jugyeong sees suho outta nowhere, she does not WANT to do anything with him, she wants to move on, shes hurt, she needs time to think and heal.
THEN GUESS WHAT?
Suho does not leave her alone. And that it what i was very upset with. Not the fact that he wants to get back together but because of the immense clinginess of following her the NEXT DAY, appearing in every place that she goes to, because he expects her to get back with him???? How long have u been gone? 3 YEARS. The girl was hurt, do u realize how u are treating her right now? Why don't u at least give her some space? Give her the respect to think and process everything?
I really hate comparing. I really do but after she encountered suho, she met with Seojun and he actually sat with her while she was crying and told her to do whats right for her. If she wanted to go back with him, then she should. He did not EXPECT anything from her.
But nope, in the end she's gonna go back to suho even though she was moving on and actually started to appreciate seojun and give him a chance.
I know it's never going to be seojun so i hope in the next episode he moves on and suho and jugyeong can just get it over with,
im tired of this weird love triangle that makes no sense. The guy really does not deserve all of this nonsense.
The people who are thinking that SJ might end up with her, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HES NOT LOL. The writer is probably just unnecessarily playing with our hearts.
i think people in the comment section are once again overreacting. i think things will be fine but idk about soojin, they actually wasted such a precious potential.
