When u get adapted from a webtoon where the character is shown more dynamic and actually had a backstory, u can have the right to expect him/her to be portrayed that way. I'm not saying be EXACTLY like the webtoon, i am saying that u can do better and instead of reducing a characters potential. There is absolutely nothing wrong in adding more depth to a character, more viewers like it that way than seeing something shallow.
