I won't spoil it for myself I love watching drama's with her even though they keep giving drama's that are like…
That's amazing to hear :) I hope you like it, just like the other dramas with Li Yi Tong (if you are referring to her)!

Very well written!! Although I beg to differ on your opinion that this drama is suitable for those in a slump....…
Thank you! and ahh, that's definitely another take on it because the plot development might not appeal to some/most people since the drama does get quite frustrating at times! and ooh, I wasn't actually aware that it was cut down to 55; though now that I think of it, some of the plot scenarios towards the end does seem quite rushed and too sudden. but anyhow, I hope you are enjoying the drama (ahaha or if you aren't, I hope you find another drama that you might enjoy better)!!

This is a great drama it’s funny but intense and serious I really love the acting and the music and the storyline…
This is definitely two for one! and yay! I'm really glad to hear that you are enjoying the drama so far :)

I love historical dramas but I'm not into comedy at all and this was the main reason I was avoiding to watch "Court…
Aww, thank you! Ahh, the second half is definitely not too much into comedy, though I would think that it's somewhat 'serious' but more of a tragedy. and yess, the actors!! I hope you have a good time watching the drama :)

I'm only on ep 52 but if I had to rate this drama thus far, I would give it a 7. The first half is actually a…
Ahh, for realll!! It was honestly so fast as to how Consort han just died, like even if the empress was in a hurry, there wasn't even evidence that showed that sun ling wei was killed be her. also the fact that sun ling wei just died like that, and followed by sheng chu jun a few episodes later is such a huge tragedy.
for King Zhou, I have like mixed feelings about him because it's kind of expected as the second ML that he'll cause a bunch of trouble, and his way of forcing fu rou isn't quite appealing either. but at the end, fu rou not being able to talk to chu mu properly & chu mu not really trusting her by much either isn't all that great. I think someone mentioned she is depressed and might be 'heartbroken' by chu mu so she can't explain herself, but ugh. and it's the whole misunderstanding that takes wayyy too long.
and yess, the number of times I just want to shake her and slap her to get some sense into her. like jeez, even if she was slightly influenced by fu shui afterwards, her thought process needs a lot of work ahaha.

Initially I wanted to watch TCL because of the actors and the costume/setting/cinematography. I put it on hold…
I have had this drama on my 'plan to watch' list for a long time because I was also looking forward for Li Yi Tong and Xu Kai's new drama as well. For the 2 parts, it honestly is quite different, indeed; one is super lighthearted and another is just tragedy, and I'm totally with you on how it might be better if it was blended together. though I suppose some people might prefer starting of light and going deeper? and ahh, I'm wishing you total luck on finding a good drama that you are interested in!!

Thank you! Some of the names definitely do get quite similar, for sure!

Ooh, I actually really prefer character development in dramas, and there's just 0 character development. although Chu Mu did change from his playboy things to a general and all, the character development isn't what I was looking for; I guess it was too soon? so more like long-term character development.
another part was the romance. Ahh, this part. I'm not a huge fan of misunderstandings, and not to give away too much, one of the couples have a long, long, long misunderstanding, which I get the reason the female can't get herself to talk about it, but the male honestly didn't really trust her. with romance, there was also the issue with how fast they liked each other? I kind of feel like the main leads didn't really have a reason to like each other, sooo.
the third one is about the plot that is kind of on the slow side and repetitive. I personally like dramas that are unpredictable and realistically paced. it sometimes does seem the drama is not getting anywhere. and the comedy with the romance wasn't really going too well with the politics, and the politics just seem honestly super pointless because it was pretty much all due to misunderstandings (with just a touch of whole-situation-caused-by-one-person-type of situation)

Yes! It is from a novel. Here might be something you might want to check out: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/court-lady/

Ahh, I totally watched this for Xu Kai but also for Li Yi Tong, and I'm actually with you in that Prince Zhou seems a much better pair with the FL though I'm kind of frustrated at the FL, so I would honestly be alright if she ends of with nobody ---> super unlikely but yup

Ahh, yusss, I'm totally with you on those killing targets ahaha. and it was seen in the trailer, too, that there is a wedding with Princess Xin Nan and Chu Lin, so I'm also hoping for the best! and yess, Fu Ruo's sister's (Fu Yin) story is really something I'm looking forward to!

And omg, kDramas, which ones are you watching so far? I'm honestly looking forward to watching Doom at Your Service, but I'm probably going to wait until it airs more episodes. and ahhh, no boundary kind of went downhill in the last half; I totally skipped a few. but ooh, I actually found the long ballad pretty decent :0 and ahh, I also need to find a historical c-drama that might have a focus more on court politics; scheminggg

and you're totally rightt. Fast forwarding really does cause us to miss a lot of scenes, and ahh, that's definitely another take! Wishing for the best!!

Thank you for this great article, explaining the great number of characters. It gets confusing. I was really invested…
Aww, thank you! and ahaha, I was considering on adding my personal feeling but I feel like it might not be too relevant since I prefer dramas with qualities that just don't show in the court lady. On another note, I personally was not a huge fan of the drama right when things got messy, especially with the crown prince that really gets on my nerves, the crown princess that just is quite idiotic, and prince liang, whose character is just completely frustrating. I did end up continuing to follow with the drama as it airs because I am currently in a drama slump, where I just can't find an interesting drama, and this drama just mad me made at basically ALL the characters, so in a sense, this drama is nice when i really want to release some mad-frustrating emotions.

If you like everything up to episode 33, where the drama hasn't gotten too into court politics yet, I would recommend watching perhaps up to episode 40 or so, and then decide whether to continue or not. as a fair warning, the following episodes does involve a lot of deaths; hence, the tragedy portion.

For me, I've only completed up to episode 46, and I'm planning on watching the last episode once it finishes airing before deciding whether to watch episodes 47-54. ahaha, though the reason I'm not planning on dropping it straight away might be because I've spent a fair portion of my time watching this drama, so it would be kind of a waste if I dropped it now.

There are moments I'm reminding myself this is a C-Drama, not a Jacobean Revenge play.
For real! the crown prince & crown princess really did a whole thing though it is with a mix of outside influences from fu shui, but stilll

Where is a Wei Ying Lou when you need her? There are so many characters that would need some justice as only Ying…
ahahaha, my thoughts exactlyy. I really miss the story of yanxi palace; maybe it's time to go rewatch it before i honestly explode on this drama.
and this is totally my theory but i feel like fu shui might be the same person as chen ji. like it also seems possible that he was sent by someone (or maybe it was himself) as 'chen ji' to the crown prince's side. and after he 'died,' he came back as fu shui. but I'm totally with you that I legit need to know where he came from.
and FOR REAL! his level of intelligence is just wow. and the last few episodes, i get that it would be hard to cope with his leg and everything, but he's just being pessimistic and all that self-blaming, which became that he thought the others were coming after him. and it's legit the same with the crown princess.

My anger levels are highhh. jeezz, she even killed her own sister likeeeand wow, so many people died in the last…
Honestly! I'm usually alright with the evil character in dramas but her actions are really caused by her way of thinking and her bottom line just does not exist when it comes "for" the crown prince. like i get that she might have been influenced by fu shui but gosh
