I actually shed a tear when Jiang Li screamed after Tong er 's lifeless body. usually I'm pretty immune to such scenes. it's a testament to FL's acting. I keep comparing her to many other FLs in similar roles who are more concerned about their pretty angles and her acting talent is just one of the rare best. glad to have been introduced to her in this show and will keep an eye on her future work.

I am a sucker for revenge stories. and the payoff for this one has the potential to be super satisfying. so many assholes and psychopaths to eliminate ✨
anyway this is by far my favorite show of 2024. it surpassed blossoms in adversity. who had a similarily great FL. But this one has more interesting characters and challenges so it tops everything else and even better acting.
ngl I hope her identity is never revealed. (although from the trailers it seems like there is big change it will be) I just enjoy her being part of the ye family so much.
The mutual respect for each other's intellect is a thing to behold in this show. I just loved how ML trusted FL's instinct each time. it spells for a great relationship ahead

it was a ridiculous . it immediately took me out of the scene. the emotional impact it should have had on me was crushed as soon as those butterflies started flying. and I was in complete WTF mode as soon as FL turned into some kind of xianxia goddess. I would have prefered they played beautiful qin music ( and without all that accompagnying instrumental shit going on either)
The actor who plays the ex husband is incredible. he is properly conveying guilt and sarrow but at the same time can be ruthless and terrifying in some of those hallucinations. acting wise this show stands out with many capable actors.
The production is very unique making this drama standout. we had a lot of face swap/transmigration/rebirth dramas throughout the years so glad to see the artistic style is as good as the story so far. even the score is pretty good' reminded me kinda of journey to you which i loved last year
WJY is such a gem and so underrated! it's unfortunate that alot of her projects since her big hit yanxi palace…
I never watched yanxi palace. but seriously love her acting in this. Very well thought out microexpresissions. usually we get FLs who tend to overexagerate but this one is quite elegant and subtle. hopefully they don't ruin her character later on cuz it has the chance to be one of my faves.
