For any KGE superfans, you can spot KGE very briefly, in a Nespresso Ad with George Clooney and others. It featured on the USA NFL superbowl this week (Sunday 9th Feb I think)
...I can't do US "football", but reels of the featured ads are fun to watch.

I left this after ep3 and took a break thinking it might be easier to watch as a binge. But no, it’s worse. I've only managed it by mostly skip watching. But now at the start of ep9, I just can't go any further. I agree, the whole thing comes off as exploitative. I'm saying FUCK THIS too. Watching these children be so relentlessly emotionally abused, is just sick IMO.

...some tropes, though very common, aren't entirely logical. Audiences have grown accustomed to these tropes because they have just seen them so often, creating a kind of custom. I wanted Flourished Peony to break out of that custom and present a story that is logical....Through these plotlines, I hope to show people a sense of moral integrity [that exists] between women. I want to offer some strength to more women and encourage them to bravely pursue whatever it is that they want to do and not to belittle themselves or suffer in silence...

Zhang Yuan Ang is speaking my language! *Adding all of Zhang Yuan Ang's dramas to my PTW list* Now to invent time travel so I can watch them all 😅

You have both missed the point. The problem is in the quote here. Does she have "true aphasia" or transient aphasia? Is it actually anyone's business? You are both buying into the sensationalist language of the article, when I am trying to reduce the panic.

This movie is NOT about cheating. It's a movie about abuse. It's also about challenging you to recognise who is actually the victim and who is the perpetrator.

Beginning the control freak problem would’ve been an issue and should’ve been dealt with at the beginning.…
TOTALLY agree. What a relief that someone else has seen the same movie as me...

"...aphasia, a language disorder caused by damage to parts of the brain."
This is A BIT misleading . Yes it can be due to damage in the brain. It can also happen due to severe dehydration, low blood pressure and a whole range of other issues, (like severe stress for example), that are NOT brain damage.

Ep 2 Referring to a child as "My severance" is SO messed up!... there is so much that is disturbing for me in…
Near the end of ep 2, where they've met his mother, and she then decides to sign him, I actually felt sick: His mother abandons him again. And Kang Su Hyun tells him she can't understand why he didn't tell her off.

He clearly is desperate to be loved. He can't tell his mother off, because he loves her - this is something EVERYONE should understand about abused children. You both hate and love abusive parents, at the same time. You just want them to love you, as a parent should, and feel, "...there must be something wrong with ME... " when they don't. So you keep trying to please them, in the hope that they'll start to love you.

And then the CEO tells him, he'll be loved if he just performs well and becomes successful. Everything is TRANSACTIONAL. He is merely a COMMODITY to EVERYONE around him. ...I feel sick again.

I hopehopehope for character growth that leads to a situation whereby he is loved purely for himself. And if they address the abusive, immoral and unethical nature of the KPop industry - an industry that exploits children; EVEN BETTER!

Ep 2 Referring to a child as "My severance" is SO messed up!
... there is so much that is disturbing for me in this. I really hope there is a whole lot of growth to come, but it's about the KPop industry so I hold little hope. I will however, keep watching for Ryeo-Un.

It's definitely available in Oz so I'm betting you'll find it. Happy viewing
I'm very torn. The physicality of rugby is equally compelling and horrifying for me. The athleticism is impressive but based upon the previews, I'm more likely to miss most of it from covering my eyes and worrying about their long term brain health

Query - did they ever explain the significance of Seo Yeon's blue stone necklace? I did ffwd some bits so maybe…
I was waiting for it to be revealed as a camera, but no... I think it was just an expensive eye catching jewel that we could recognise as missing, when she switched allegiance to her field husband.
