Wei Da Xun is well known and very popular in China, for variety shows and comedy. Give it time...IMO he's a slow burn until you suddenly realise you're a fan.
It's really interesting that this article, about a drama that is centred around marriage infidelity, i.e. 'cheating'; has so few comments. But another article this week, about a drama centred around a couple trying to decide whether to marry, has nearly 100 comment - arguing about cheating.
Is it because the main protagonists in this are *old*?! Or are there other, more subtle reasons?
Genuine question; is Cuckold a swearword (or curseword for the USians) now?
Just to be pedantic; cuckold is based on 'cuckoo', so in this show the cuckolder would be Mi Do's mother, for raising Namgung Ho - someone else's child.

Agree. But it's a KDrama, so you know, it's justified that they are getting close because it's "inyeon"! (Jk) My least favourite Kdrama trope is Kindergarren Kismet, but general "inyeon" is in the bottom 10 for me 😅

But it's not cheating in this scenario. That's the point this article is making - "Let's split up so you can figure out whether you truly love and are committed to me. Or not." Unless of course your definition of cheating is different to mine? - deliberate betrayal of the agreed upon rules/boundaries/expectations, between you and your intimate partner.
Ahhh "cheating"...that old trope that seems to make MDLers lose their collective minds This comments section is a sociologists dream! Ethics, morality, classism, jealousy, patriarchal bias, art, entertainment, and more. So many themes to explore!
Can't remember the exact wording the Dr used for what Yun Ha Na is experiencing, but to me, Bo Na is perfectly portraying BURNOUT. Absolute exhaustion, inability to 'feel' emotions, looking like a ghost who is swimming through life - because you feel like you're underwater all the time.
