Yeah exactly! If he went back to confirm, that would mean he wasn’t sure—but I still think he knew it was Miji and just pretended not to know, waiting for her to admit it herself. That’s why it’s confusing—like, if he already knew, why go back and have that convo with “Mirae”? What was he trying to do? 😭
I’m pretty convinced that Hosu knew it was Miji from the very beginning—ever since he asked, “You’re Miji, right?” and she denied it. I think he wasn’t actually confused—he just wanted her to admit it herself. And honestly, I have a few solid reasons for believing he was never unsure about his feelings for Miji vs. Mirae.
First, at the reunion, he was clearly jealous when that guy was flirting with Miji. That guy had nothing to do with Mirae—so if Hosu was confused, that moment wouldn't have affected him the way it did.
Second, the moment when he asked her to repeat, “Miji isn’t at fault”—that wasn’t just about him wanting Mirae to stop blaming her sister. He wanted Miji to believe it, to stop carrying the blame for what happened to her grandmother.
Third, even Miji’s bedridden grandmother could immediately tell it was Mirae and not Miji who came to visit. And if there’s anyone who can tell the twins apart, it’s Hosu and her grandmother. So honestly, I think he knew it was Miji all along.
But the part I still don’t fully get is when he went back to his mom’s place and had that whole conversation with “Mirae.” What was the point of that scene? Was he trying to confirm something? Or maybe he wanted to hear Mirae slip up and admit the truth herself? It felt intentional, but I’m still not sure what exactly he was hoping to get out of it.
Honestly, I feel like they might take this show in a similar direction as Alchemy of Souls. If there’s a Season 2, I could totally see Yun Gap returning to his body and Kang Chul stepping out—giving Kang Chul and Yeori their happy ending.
Personally though, as sad as it is that Yun Gap died, not everyone comes back just because their death was tragic. It would make more sense for the story to honor his death and let the characters find peace and closure, rather than undoing it.

how is it only about his wounds? she was very genuine with him since the beginning, he was the one that broke that trust, she felt betrayed, and its always her mentioning how her first crush really messed her up, we barely see him mentioning his first crush, it was only during the first ep, it makes sense cuz he was young, it was easier for him to forget or atleast move on a little, but her entire reality broke when she saw the dude shes been talking to for months was a kid. i understand both of them but its very valid for her to break it off.
The thing is, I understand both of them. To us, the reason for their breakup might seem trivial, but for them, it was deeply rooted in painful experiences. She clearly cared about him a lot, but discovering that he had lied about his age was a huge betrayal. Even if she had wanted to stay, their relationship wouldn’t have been possible—he was a minor. On the other hand, his world had turned upside down, and in the midst of it all, he found her. She was the one who loved him when he had no one, and he held on to that love dearly. Given everything they went through, their breakup wasn’t just inevitable—it made complete sense.
