Not child rape. If I am not mistaken, he convinced/made some 17/18 year old girl to sleep with someone for a role…
I thought it was obvious that not all of them survive… I was talking about actors who do but name me one idol or a female actress who survived adultery / after being in jail.
I don't think it's Joon Young because there's Bbomm, she could be his match. However the mentor doesn't have another match. So I think JH is the main ml here.

Let me rephrase it : I wrote BANNED (which implies working) Lesser judgement not sentences (I mean socially not legally) Yes, idols in general and female actresses are harshly judged compared to male actors. Male actors can return to dramas even after being in jail / a scandal, whereas female actresses can't do it and even if they have connections, they can barely return to the big screen with a specific director no more. eg: Kim Min Hee : https://kisskh.at/people/1636-kim-min-hee
Is it more like Hometown Chachacha (was super interesting to me with a lot of romance) or more like My Liberation…
This is definitely not like Hometown chachacha, both are filmed in similar locations but it's not the same genre at all : Homecha was more in the romcom side and Our blues is more slice of life unlike my liberation notes which was a 'spiritual' journey kinda drama. However, if you want to give it a try, it becomes more entertaining starting from the 4th ep. I personally didn't like the first eps because I didn't know what to expect from the drama but I continued watching because I trusted the big names (LBH, LJE, Kim Hye Ja...) and they didn't disappoint me. If you want to enjoy it, you shouldn't expect romance, but life lessons and character development. I won't describe it as slow because every 2 to 3 eps, the drama explore the story of one of the characters. It's so unique because every character is the main character of his story / episode. Bonus : OSTs are so good

I read somewhere that their excuse was that "it was 'long' ago and he 'paid' for his sin" However if I start naming female actresses / idols that have been banned because of lesser crimes (marijuana / adultery....) it will be a long essay... Conclusion : He definitely has strong connections Ps: I'm NOT justifying the other crimes.

I found this in "convicted celebrities" list by @Hessa link to the list: https://kisskh.at/list/LAlG0Ww1 Lee Kyung Young Crimes: Teenage prostitution. (Having sex with a 17-year-old for which he promised to make her an actress and would provide 30,000 to 100,000 won in return for sex.)
Court sentence: 2002: 10 months imprisonment, suspended for two years, and 160 hours of community service.
I admit that this drama is not for everyone. You won't find bubbly and funny characters. However, as a classical music enthusiast, I want to thank the writer & director for putting this magical atmosphere into the drama and for being 'bold' enough to put two introverted characters as main leads. a legit 9/10.
This drama tries to solve the "Doing what you love VS doing what you're good at" dilemma I can identify myself with the FL, being an amateur violinist myself (I started older than usual) I can assure you that at some point I couldn't continue learning it. It was physically (fingers stretching, having neck pain...) and emotionally consuming ( getting the right feeling, putting emotions in your playing ..). Don't get me wrong it's not like impossible to play it but if you're willing to become a professional it won't be that easy. You feel like you're not enough even if you're a genius in an other field or you're your university's valedictorian or whatsoever (in her case : having a business degree). That feeling of not being good enough at something you really love is torturing. So I can get the main lead. The drama wanted to give an alternative to those who really want to do something that is likely impossible so I kinda liked the resolution of the story.
SPOILER (final ep)**** In her case, as far as I remember, the main lead continued as a musical events organizer so yeah she'll be using her business degree somehow, plus she'll be having fun since it revolves around a subject she's into. Which was a very realistic but 'not so romantic' conclusion. I also like the coping mechanism of the FL. The fact that she could finally sell her precious violin is so meaningful.
My favourite comment on the list..."The writer herself has short hair..." (This definitely puts a different slant…
You know what? Your comment reminded me of the polemic against a triple gold medalist in archery, her name is An San. She was cyber-bullied just because of her haircut. She has short hair so they were attacking her... Idk what's wrong with them in South Korea lol
When he killed her father and betrayed her I was like : Guurl you better take your revenge otherwise I'm outta here. But I continued watching anyway haha because I was so invested. Personally, I find the political part where she allied with TalTal the best in this drama. I don't like the last part. but it remains a classic when it comes to historical kdramas.
I don't think that his resentment is solely because of her mother, I think that he can't stand her because she's…
uh so you didn't watch it.. ok then no problem. Anyways, you are entitled to your own opinion but if I were in your shoes I wouldn't judge people, characters based on some comments. The world isn't black and white. Have a nice day!

At this point, I don't think you've watched thoroughly the drama. It was clear since the 1st episode that she wasn't living with them under the same roof. She has her own company, her own house, her own life. I don't think that her biological mother was present, she was lacking motherly love. She loved her step mother since ever and she never tried to take anything from them (the proof : she started her own company and has proven her self competent professionally) Even if she was living in the same house, I don't see where's the problem.. Her father made a mistake, well he should pay. What was he expecting? cheating on his wife, having a child out of wedlock and 'throwing' her (Seri) out as if nothing happened? Also, why would she (Seri) feel the shame, it's not her who cheated! Did her parents ask her before bringing her into this world? I don't understand why would you blame her for her cheating father? As for her brother, all that he had to do is working harder, smarter and most importantly being FAIR. He literally wanted his sister dead just because she was more competent.
You know what, let's stop here. Have a nice day!
