For international iQIYI : itβs one a day for vip at 1pm and two the next day for non vip
I know that it can differ between Chinese and international release, but usually international viewers don't have it better than non-members in China. Ah well, just wait and see. They can change the schedule on a whim for all that I know as well π
The ad market in China is in a dreadful state of consumer recession. So no free content from any of the platforms…
Oh, I see. I know the platforms have been struggling a bit, especially Iqiyi. Probably you that's been keeping us updated on other boards. π Hey, I have a question. Is a website like Duboku legal in China? I mean, such websites where their content is basically up for free has to factor in as well. That website has always felt more "legit" compared to the ones usually used by people here, and so I find it a bit surprising it's allowed to continue to operate.
You can watch it on kissh without vip but maybe few hours later
I always pay for membership, and I will always encourage others to do so as well, since websites like kisskh basically steal their content, including the subs. Maybe I'll edit my post a little, cause it's not that I don't want people to pay. I just found Iqiyi's tactics here quite interesting.
Haha, I just read the schedule posted in the photo section. A word of warning. Unless you're VIP, don't bother starting this right now. Apparently you only get episodes 1-2 on the first day, the rest won't come out until a week after it's ended it's run for paying members. Iqiyi are almost being a bit mean π ε₯½ζ£! Good move there Iqiyi, good move. Hopefully more will pay for a membership and support the platform if they can. I had already renewed my membership before I noticed this, I just find it a bit interesting.
Edit: not sure though if they do it differently for international viewers, cause they say something else entirely in the app. Well see tomorrow I guess.
"AT THE SEASIDE, A PLACE WHERE THE WIND BLOWSTHERE IS A MAN WHO REALLY LIKES YOUUNDER THE WITNESS OF AFTERGLOW…
That may be one of the most beautiful sentences I have ever heard in a drama. This entire dialogue just made me feel that this drama is so mature. Adults confessing with a proper conversation, like adults. (this was one of the best things with Hi Venus as well.) And dealing with the fact that it's not gonna work out between them then and there, as adults. I love these scriptwriters, and will watch anything they do after this.
Just watched ep 26 with subs on viki and I really wish the translations would be better π I'm thankful for…
I'm thankful that I do understand what they're saying (most of the time), but I agree. I haven't been using Viki for years, but some translator teams have been doing some amazing work, especially for costume dramas, which are super hard to translate. But good subs usually takes time, and watchers don't wanna wait. π
I usually find Tencent's subs to be quite good nowadays, Iqiyi also not bad (but it varies). But smaller companies, like Huace, aren't up to par. Yet. Despite some remaining issues with subs, it's still way better than when I started to watch c-drama back in 2015, both with regards to speed and quality. At least in my opinion.
does anyone know by when the entire thing would be subbed?
I don't think there's an official schedule for the subs. Doesn't feel like they've been following one up until now at least π unless they step up its not gonna be until next week.
