I found the beginning of the episode really funny, when Fan was looking at Fang unbelievingly: "you've even prepared a doctor?" LOL Fang really wanted to get even with these guys. 😆 As much as he annoyed me in the beginning, he was very funny to watch in the end.

Episode 12 was so good! CRQ entering the stage like a rock star at the end there was perfect! So many funny moments. Everyone paying their respects to Old Magistrate Ren 😂 wouldn't surprise me one bit of the old man isn't really dead. I mean, he has a history of tricking people 😉 but not so dear Uncle Song, what ever happened to you? You went from being a sweet uncle, to such a despicable character. Seeing you punished will be very satisfying indeed.

I also like that the topic here is about the commoners and the provincial officials, talking about things that were very real at the time (and to some degree are still real today). This is why I almost always enjoy dramas based on Ma Boyong's works, since they're a bit of a mix between real historical events/facts and fiction, which I find very interesting.

I'm afraid dear Uncle Song is heavily involved in the death of Shuai Jiamo's parents. 😞 Looking after Jiamo all these years was probably just a way to ease his bad consciousness.

From ep 10 teaser it looks like Renqing will be cast out of his old crew, and finally join the light side.
