Yin Guo mom is petty but I kinda see where she is coming from. Yin Guo family must be the wealthy traditional gamily type where respect to elders and authority is very very important. Therefore the way Lin Yang behaved years ago plus the fact that his situation appears instable rub her the wrong way to such an extent she does not want to have anything to do with him. YinGuo challenge now is to show that she is no more the sheltered baby girl she had always been and to stand up for herself and her love for LY.

I think it is a matter of taste. I absolutely love Joy Of Life and recommend it everywhere and know a huge chunk of people that still don't get the hype after watching 20 episodes and find it uneventful. I know a lot of people that praise Wang ZiQi and Wang YuYen first drama to the moon, Avenue X included and drama was a hit. When I watched it I thought it was a insult to my intelligence. You think this drama drags and is bad. I think this drama with its contexte (boy and girl who are strangers meet in a foreign country) show a rather normal progression of a love story with the support of their friends and relatives while one side of the couple is going back to his passion. I know people that trash the "Rebel Princess" and drama was unsuccessful still I think the show is a decent one with probably one of the best cdrama OTP of those last 7 years. So my dear do not force yourself and drop it. There is no drama that pleases everyone.
