Dai Si should have been casted as the character then not the type I am seeing. That girl does nothing to me. Too generic cdrama girl

You should try one of his B-rated dramas "delicacy" something where he plays crown prince ML. He is a promising young actor that can play a wide age ranged characters cause he looks so mature

Thing is people were complaining that first 8 episodes were slow for example because leads were awkward and were not exchanging much without using their damn mind and seeing that actions (mostly from the ML side) were used as a mean to make the main couple closer so they could start their very first love story.
And as you said up here "actually the pace is rather fast". I would even add by repeating myself, the evolution of YG and LYY lovestory goes at a rather normal pace especially when they are introverts, shy, not talkative, or very sheltered as in YG case.

If you do not like the romance in the show you must be suffering watching it cause AASOL = Romance. This is like looking at the Rain and saying "I don't like the humidity aspect of the rain"

I am in the minority that feel that the only bummer for me about this show is the director did not think out-of-the box concerning MXD love life and wasted an alluring actress like Dai Si by making her a '"loser" love rival with hardly any scene (granted from the lil bit we got she is a decent girl). Wang Xing Yue is a young charismatic improving but decent actor in my book and he knows how to impose his presence in a scene. Before the drama aired I thought he would be paired with Dai Si who got an edgy type of appeal to her, very stand out looking girl imo. This type of secondary pairing that is unexpected would have made the show spicier and brought more fire to the drama. But instead director went the typical chinese dramaland route by picking a generic plain jane cdrama girl to be Wang Xing Yue's love interest. I only focuse on MXD dynamism with the other boys and his meimei. Thank God Zhao Jin Mai and Wu Lei characters love story is what really matters.

When he was younger he tended to be wild and disrespectful to people. Plus the incident with her mom made her dislike him

They want things "unreal" and then they complained when they are served this

For real it seems people don't actually watch this drama but are always ready to pick anything to criticize :

- Lead pair who are two introverts and cold and shy people are awkward with each other in the first episodes because they are strangers and in the begining of the process of having a relationship and FL is cautious in a foreign land ? People be like : "they are boring !" "Nothing happen !" "They are slow!" etc... when in reality their behaviour is rather expected especially from FL.

- Lead pair started relationship that is something new to them and act very passionately towards each other and are literally in honeymoon phase (ep 9 to 16) so a lot of their gestures and words scream "sweet" and bordeline "cringy" ? People be like "They are going too fast", 'it is draggy" "They shouldn't act like that" "how long they gonna show them being lovey dovey I need
more" etc... when in reality they are acting normal as a young couple and in the background one see ML going back to his original passion and overcome his past trauma through relationship with a girl that had been a sheltered girl for the longest.

- Now by ep 17 lead couple is having a mild conflict because of family especially mom who does not like the boy ? People be like "why this ?" "This is unnecessary" or "nothing happen it is draggy" etc...
when things like that happen in real life.

Maybe what the mom cannot stand is the fact LYY was actually right and she as a referee penalised him wrongly which made him go off and act in a scandalous and wild way ?
