So far, it looks like a scam. With 10 episodes to go, I don't have high hopes for the same kind of cheap thrill...
The PD was brainless enough to introduce hottie DaiDai so late in the game rather than much earlier so they could make a better use of him since he is their main traction. Again what kinda saved the show for me is the FL vengeful and grey side of hers and desire to retaliate.

Vincent Wei is the ML but an unconventional one : he is a villain. The FL is not your conventional cdrama FL either. After being a victim of all of those abuses and what not she decided to retaliate and take revenge on all of those psychopath POS . Therefore she has to smarten up (yeah mini cdramas PD understanding the assignment better than their bigger counterparts). The SML is played by hottie DGZ and he is kinda a hero here opposed to the villain ML. This show is unconventional by chinese drama standard.
Imagine he showed up earlier with some chest special appearances while gazing at/confronting a vengeful not so doormat heroine. I mean the chesty magical power of lakorny DaiDai could get a sappy below average Maid's Revenge more than 3000 comments on MDL (even some standard kdramas can't relate), put DaiDai on the map (he is the spokesperson of the bag's brand Luga and I am sure gets more money now to buy clothes) and even Maid's Revenge millions views on youku YT channel and some followers on twitter, tumblr during airing times. So imagine BR's PD was a smarter person 🙃

Tang Zhi Feng is back now apparently. But honestly I dig the heroine in that mini drama and I like this one here breaks certain codes of cdramaland (we got an absolute repulsive villain Male lead ). So gotta give it that. And as I say it before the show would have been elevated if the PD and scriptwriter were smart enough to use their main traction to the fullest in this show = a lakorny Dai Gao Zheng. They were absolute brainless for making him appear only 13 episodes before the end when we know each episode last only 10 min so zero time to develop him and his relationship with the characters (especially lakorny ones with FL). And they have 0 excuse of censorship the way standard dramas do (a lot of them good on paper got ruined during execution). Lord I want to slap them. But yeah what do you think ? Bride's revenge saved by an unconventional heroine (by today's standard cdramaland) facing an unconventional ML or Lakorny DaiDai aka Tang Zhi Feng should have appeared much earlier to serve us lakorny heat and burn our screen while gazing at/confronting a vengeful not-so-doormat heroine?
