Guys you can't see a small innocent moment like this charged with s*xual desire and hormone and you gonna tell me drama kept working only on abs. What I like with tumblr the bloggers give us the opportunity to pay more attention to the actors expressions and small bodylanguages.

Those mini dramas got potential to hit it bigger than they are now as shown by "Night of Love with you" and this one here (that grabbed so much attention out of Nowhere !) but I wish the team behind them will put more effort in how they tell the story. I know you gonna tell me easy said than done with the limited budget they got (outfits, locations, transport, equipement, crew/cast salary, decoration etc...) putting more money in the time to tell the story properly can be challenging. But if you decided to do a mini on 1st place knowing those challenges it means that you know how to let the events unfold without bulgging our eyes and as a professional you care and is skilled enough to do so. Or am I kidding myself and production companies of those short length shows should get more means to do their jobs ? What do you think ?
I say that because honestly I noticed that this year I have been more enticed into those cheap baddly made mini shows rather than those big S+ ones with the same traffic
actors/actresses. And as I can see I am not the only one that feel the same ? I mean what made people stay with MR when DaiDai stopped showing abs by ep 2 or 3 and it got +3k comments on MDL and showed up in Top 10 Vinklage ranking (which is insane) ? Abs only can do that ? Hummm

@PeachBlossomGoddess I know you have been watching dramas since the heydays of TVB so you had the time to observe the evolution of cdramaland. I need your opiniion. Do you think mini dramas need more money from investors and there is a real potential here to hone the talent of actors that don't have strong backers while giving them more attention which can be good for people like me who are getting tired of seeing roles wasted on the same damn old traffic actors/actresses (Yang Mi/RenJiaLu/Yang ChiaoYue/Kenny Lin/Huang ZiTao etc...) ?

I heard it was supposed to be 36 episodes but they cut it down to 30 episodes (6 less episodes that is a lot and make everything even more choppy).
So I am probably thinking if they removed so many episodes thus scenes (among them a lot of kissing ones), it seems Youku didn't trust it would gather attention and hype so money at all. Therefore the platform wanted to get done with it as quick as possible. They decided to post the deleted kissing scenes cause they saw the potential. And as we can see they generated a lot of views for this channel in two days.

The main lead actress acting is good (she has been emoting good from day 1) and the villain is not bad at playing snakey. Even the ML actor acting is not bad either. He can emote.
But I agree storytelling could have been better if PD was smarter but I am thinking what could I have done with two weeks shooting and the probably the money of the cantine's budget of a big drama ?

I mean for a mini drama like maids revenge to be mentioned in the same post than LBFaD and LaR that is a huge huge accomplishment because 1st and foremost MR is a short drama with hardly any budget and filled with nobodys ( unlike Dylan who played in MG and was relatively popular, Yu Xu Qin who was popular before LBFaD, Yuan Bing Yuan who was in Ever Night). I even think MR, for what it is, managed to be an even bigger surprise hit than LBFaD.

I will miss CFT sexy S-line body and nice legs. She emoted so well in Maids revenge and I love with her age and look she can play wide ranges of characters so in the beginning she was your innocent pure maiden girl (maybe 18 year old) and at the end she gives off such a strong and threatning and commending aura and you believe it to the "T". Sometimes I read comments on Twitter saying "the acting is not good" and I beg to differ -look at the emotions during TY death scene or when he gets tortured by YuZe and when TingYao meets his facetwin at the end. I mean they shot in TWO WEEKS so under pressure with time, money and all that. So they had less time to do everything (getting into characters and unleash all of those emotions). There is no way this drama would have (kinda) worked with absolutely shit acting and 0 chemistry btw the actors.
I think for what it is this mini drama worked and gave us what has been lacking in a lot of big dramas - loads of sensuality and spices AND A FEMALE LEAD WITH ACTUAL BUM !
