Heroes FL was your typical pouty nasally-voiced idol doll that has been plaguing cdramas. One don't get that in this drama here. Yang ZiYi so far is A WOMAN !

This is one of the rare cdramas where I cared for every freaking roles (except Wan'er) even Guo Bakun minions. Every characters were respected. JOL is this drama I have been looking for the BG music score for ages. I mean a costume cdrama that gives you this : Want some Hip hop sound ? Get that Want some salsa sound ? Get that Want some badass rock sound ? Get that Want some Italian sound ? Get that Want some traditional chinese sound ? Get that Want some Indian wind instrument sound ? Get that And this is one of the rare cdramas where I genuinely love both opening and ending theme (even Love between Fairy and Devil opening song sounds too cheesy in my ears). And all that mixture of very modern and diverse sounds in a costume apparently historical drama matches perfectly the theme of the drama especially with the identity of the ML. Matter of fact the 2019 costume cdramas I watched (Longest day in Chang'an and Goodbye My princess) had really nice BGM. Imo JOL is a Gem that sucked me into its univers and made me go through different emotions. I went from crazy laughs to heartwrenching sadness/cries (Zhang Mohan and Fan Xian last meeting for example). But maybe it is not your thing. I suggest you to watch Avenue X videos about Joy of life. And last but not least NO TWO YEAR OLD ACTING AND TALKING FEMALE LEAD (the thing that prevented LBFaF from reaching JOL or Reset level) !
I still can't believe this drama ratings here. It is no wonder we are stuck with shows filled with FLs portrayed as if they are two while talking with their nose for the sake of "intense romance".
This drama has an atmosphere of healing. If you feel depressive, fed up or stuck on something you should watch.…
You know a drama maker is not a stupid robot when he/she manages and make a character like Gamon layered and almost lovable to the viewers at the end of the day. And the BG music score is so well chosen for the drama subject ! Japan Ent needs to be more agressive at promoting their stuff at the international scale.
