In that version ZPE is still in the brothel or performance hpuse so her flirty and fiery behaviour is understable while in the drama she try and establish a tea house and is no more in the brothel. Therefore her behaviour will be different

Yeah ! I read some sh t like that as well on another plateform where someone was complaining on why they made th FL a "virgin". It shows that China is looking down on s*x workers. The Yuan Dynasty play is more ahead than the today's drama blah blah blah... some feminists can never be satisfied

She is just there with her idol vibe and pouts while XY is teasing, layered, mature type of appeal and maybe would have helped ML improve his observations skills and smartness had she been paired with him.

I am telling you if Xiao Yao were the FL, it would have elevated people interest in the drama. She and WX dynamism would have burnt the screen as the main pairing. The way A dream of Splendor got a 8.7 at Douban says a lot about the type of FLs people are craving for at the moment. And for sure it is not the pouty Wen Rou-like.
