Okay guys I am watching some videos about ADOS on youtube (for example Avenue X) and whatever else and I see some comments here and there stating that Zhao Lu Si looks like Liu Yi Fei ?? What ??? I was watching a video of a review of ADOS and Eve today and the reviewer was like Zhao LuSi and Liu Yi Fei look alike blah blah blah... han ??? I mean we all saw LYF in her late teens and early 20's (the age bracket of ZLS now) and guys honestly gonna ask you a question : are you sure the ZLS we are seeing now (she is 23) would stand out in a drama filled with prime Liu Tao, prime Chen Hao, prime Jiang Xin and f.cking prime KRISTY CHUNG in the eff. Same drama ? Or her beauty would give a prime An Yi Shan aka Miss Body (Liu Yi Fei got good proportions as well) a run for her money in a drama ? Just a reminder that LYF could impose her persona and aura during a time when actresses like Fan Bing Bing, Gao Yuan Yuan, Zhang Ziyi, Alicia Chia, Zhou Xun etc...were still in their prime, only because of her look (She is the prettiest XLN we got on TV til date). And all of those actresses were not your typical cute idol BS nor plain Jane pouties that are being overtly pushed now. Sorry but I see no ressemblance...
Yesterday we saw the celebration of the complementarity of feminity and masculinity. It struck me more in ep 19 and 20. Sure it was there in the previous episodes but it was not the dominant theme. But in the latest episodes I was like why do I see Zhao Pan'er even more luminous today and my eyes are so drawn to her costumes ? Or why Gu appears so manly commending even bold I would say today when he is all lovey dovey ? When he was chasing that demon thing and all, my eyes were paying attention to his officer outfit and sexiness and glued to his intensity ? It is because the theme of episode of episodes 19 and 20 was the wedding of a Man and a Woman. They are complementary. Even they are not actually married yet in their spirit and cause of what Chinese people call "Yuen Fuan" (hope I pronounce well) Zhao Pan'er and Mr Gu are married/united. And whenever they meet they just explode the screen . The unity of the concepts of feminity and masculinity. Originally in African spirituality the trinity (1+1=1) is masculinity + feminity => 1 birth (we are the results of this addition). And this is what I could get from the latest episodes and it was beautifully expressed through Zhao Pan'er and Mr Gu. It is helped by the fact that the actors are LYF and CX.
You know what ? I am sure director YY had seen ROTCH and was like "you can't have the perfect Yang Guo and XLN breathing in the same lifetime and being the exact same age and not pair them in a project. Not in my world". She could have picked any traffic drama actress for this role but she was adamant in choosing LYF that has been focusing on movie. I wonder if it was hard to convince her and comeback in drama field. I am sure CX is really happy to work with LYF. Man I am telling you some things are improvised 😛
Yeah that’s why. Not sure why they always do that 😒
Maybe they are overprotrective of hers since the traumatic and near death experience with her ex husband. They still feel YinZhang is not mature enough yet. I kinda understand them. I think if I were Qianfan I would do the same.
I love the costumes in the drama. So elegant ! Zhao Pan'er is like a fairy in those Song dynasty garnments and Chen Xiao oozes so much mainly s*xiness in his officer outfit ! Whenever they meet they burn the screen
Anything that is japanese work ain't hyped by international fans. Imagine Takahashi Issei was Korean or to a lesser…
Ok I recommend you : Nagi no oitama : good good acting all around. Storyline about human growth (Takahashi Issei is in it)
Heaven and Hell soul exchange (Takahashi Issei and Ayase Haruka acting never disappoint)
Bokura wa kiseki de dekite : 10/10 for me (Takahashi Issei acting never disappoint)
Jin Minakata I and II : started the trend of time travel genre in late 00's before BBJX : A classic 10/10
Nazo No Tenkousei : scifi mix with slice of life well done (Hongo Kanata acting is top and FL is pure and pretty and proper without being bland )
A long love letter : very old apocalyptique drama aired in 2003 but that is stuck in mind til date. This drama got actors like Kobozuka Yosuke and Yamada Takayuki. I went through different type of emotions. Some flaws but still impactful. Let's not take things for granted.
Koori No Sekai : a late 90's drama about suspens. If China can't do a remake of KC I wish they would do one of Koori No sekai with LYF and Wang Kai as leads.
There are a lot of comments about international fans overhyping dramas. I took a 6 month hiatus from MDL, did…
