Wow ! Drama is interesting ! Interesting ! And FL is soooo cute but like in a genuine way (very rare in cdramaland). And I like they use their own voice. The acting is really good overall. Her acting is really good. I like the ML acting as well.
Please drama don't fail me.

If you say so, the only person mad here is you not accepting people finding Li Gen Xi terrible as Jiang Ni and getting roasted left right and center lmao. You see that so you gotta come up here and trying to force the love ? Cry me a river baby 😢😛. I said what I said : unappealing as Jiang Ni. ZRY at least can act. And it helps him a lot that he knows how to shine in period dramas giving off the right mannerism. Li Gen Xi thought she was still in some of her sh.tty idol cdramas (the image of her pouting acting 😬🙃). Blergh ! Now if you are not happy come and pay for connection.

Yeah yeah they got 5/10 on Douban ratings and her uninspiring and unappealing perf in the drama was completely roasted by chinese viewers who could see how limited she is (lol I thought I was the only one that could see that). This is the same sh.tty acting she showed in truth or dare. Unwatchable. And even you know her acting is nothing to write home about. She was doing the typical stuff that has been polluting modern cdramaland. Plus I repeat her eye-acting is...Yikes !! 0 spark in them ! 😢 and she was pouting to add on it ... tragic
At last who in his right mind thought it was a good idea to cast someone that could pass as ZRY's daughter as his FL ? Lmao

I couldn't pass on the funny scenes and the good acting and the different tones of the drama plus the OST. From your fav dramas you listed I kinda see why you are not into it. JOl has a more mature-take-your-time-to-introduce-characters-vibe in the 1st episodes. Also I understand your point cause I dropped SSS early since I can't stand Li Gen Xi actingstyle in period drama (that thing she does with her mouth and eye-expression will never work for me in this genre)

Actually my issue with wan'er is everyone else were more impactful than she was. Even her father's or Guo Bakun's minions were more memorable within their tiny appearances. Plus ZRY had more chemistry and more interesting interractions with Si LiLi for example.

Yeah reason why I wonder if XZ will reprise his role...

My honor ! Honestly you call her horrible pouty work good acting ? I know loads of actresses in China that can shine in this with closed eyes and better bodylanguages fitting a period drama and whowon't look like ZRY's daughter. And her eye-acting is terrible in SSS.

Nobody praise it unfortunately but I do ! One of the things that made JOL an unforgettable journey for me was the OST. Longest day in Chang'an and Goodbye My princess had nice music scores as well but not as diversified as JOL. That soundtrack was used in one of my fav cdramas of 2020 that is "Ancient Detective" with the gorgeous chinese version of Chiaki Kuriyama : Wang

Song Zu'er expresses better with her eyes. Her pouty acting looks less off-putting and she got stronger charisma in costume/period dramas

JOL must be the only cdrama aired recently that had great OST and music score overall (we had latin music, Hip Hop sound, Italian music, badass Rock sound, traditional Chinese sound, even some traditional Indian sound)
