He's simply not the right person to play this ML character. He is a fine actor as he played the characters in…
Ok and I am expressing myself about your part when you said objectively his acting is bad. So I came to tell you objectively his acting is good but firstable talking about his line delivery and voice acting, that, from all accounts, he has been delivering. Yeah Wang Xing Yue dubs himself. The voice you hear in the show is his. His detractors don't like to accept it cause they are adamant in portraying him as a low level actor. Then on his eyes I don't see any emptiness in them. Indeed on his first appearance his eyes show mischieviousness, a certain taste for drama with a dash of boastfulness. One can see through those eyes someone from a high statut, arrogant with a lot of pride that also provably enjoy torture criminals - and again his voice tone ain't lying with an amusing sound to it. Then the scene when he sees the female lead in the nunnery for the first time one can see thrilled eyes. He looks at her with a lot of intensity and questions and then when he gets closer to her and lifts her face with a fan (sensuous hands movements) to scan through her facial features, his face shows some interest, a lil amusement on the scene occuring in front of him and the drama that will occure ahead of him, once it was clear for him that the FL is using him to get back to the capital -his facial expressions change to show he understood this girl's goal. And again I stress I have not heard any chinese person says his lines delivery and enounciation are bad - he injects the right emotion at the right time. Then you say his posture is stiff ? I don't know where you saw that but I can show images of that guy strutting like a model or sitting like a glorious dramaqueen. "His bodylanguage doesn't... with the other actors" what do you mean ? He stands too straight in front of the other actors ? Can you give an example please ?

Yeah and objectively his acting is fine showing presence, micro expressions whenever something affects him a lil bit or when he is a lil amused and he got great lines delivery to the point that lowkeye prejudice-driven reviewer Avenue X thinks he is dubbed by a voice actor. That is an objective fact of a job well done.
