Ooh I’ll have to watch that as well! I just finished a CDrama called Hidden Love and although the characters there are younger, the relationship is beautiful. So much maturity and communication and mutual respect. Left me smiling and feeling warm throughout.

I love GuWon’s character too. He’s been dealt such a shitty hand in life and yet, he’s kind and compassionate and is adamant that he wouldn’t treat people badly. The cycle-breaker, if you will. And that is what prompts him to take note and pay attention to people when they have something of value to impart. I am so glad he’s fallen for someone like SaRang who can teach him so much about life and it’s realities in line with what he actually wants and needs. I imagine his mother would have been such a person. I love that GuWon appreciates the people around SaRang too and sees how family doesn’t mean a bond of blood. Such a beautiful character.

Absolutely! It was a bit…disappointing no matter how entertaining it was with its cliches. Sigh…some things are still stuck in the 70-80s honestly. And it’s
not just a Korean thing … I’ve seen these cliched portrayals of “exotic” regions in dramas from other languages too.

Loved the TRS reference, yes!!!!! Made me want to go watch it again 😀 Also, I have got to keep saying it - JunHo and YoonHa have such amazing amazing chemistry! They make their characters so seem so real the way they play off each other’s actions and reactions. I especially love YoonHa here cos I wasn’t all that invested in her earlier dramas tbh but she’s killing it here. Both their comic timings are so good!

**Beginning of rant. ** The whole lemonade ordering scene was a bit jarring for me with the whole “I know what’s better for you than you do.” 🙈 I know it’s sticking close to the book with him ordering the hot lemonade for her but I wish they’d re-written it so that Jiaxu would have asked her first or something. Overall he is a green flag yes, but moments like these take me out of the fantasy and into the real world and that’s…sad. He even went “You should get used to this now.” Gah! I wanted to chalk it up to him being in his “Ge-Ge with his Mei-Mei” mode but even that doesn’t help when he is the one initiating the whole ‘transitioning into a romantic relationship’ thing. 😭😭😭😭** End of rant. **

Seems so, right? I am glad SR is a catalyst for him to look closely at what is actually happening within the hotel walls and take an interest. He’s been totally blasé about it all until now cos he is only focused on finding his mum but he’s already finding out how unfair certain practices are and wanting to do something about them. I see him becoming a great owner/manager/director who takes good care of his employees 🙂

True. I love AHS BUT his monotone dialogue delivery doesn’t make me enjoy his characters which is especially sad cos I loved the premise of both his recent dramas and was so eager to watch them 😔 LJH on the other hand is fire 🔥 This drama is nothing spectacular story/plot wise as we all know the direction it’s going in (more or less) but the actors make it so enjoyable to watch! Love Junho’s eyes 😍
